I'm not going to read through all 45 pages, but I;m fairly certain no one asked this:

Are we going to get a restoration of codex entries for Flashpoints and Operations, and...

...will we have the ability to petition for the entries we were not given, for the time period when this particular feature was disabled?

Most MMO's will give a map update or two once every expansion... This is not something new.

With respect to crafting though, is there an ETA on a fix for several current RE bugs on droid armor and several other items.

PvP content is slated for post-August 6. So that means just 8 months after Hypergates before we can start thinking about PvP content. At least 8 months in between PvP patches.
Maybe the PvPers here would like to go play WoW, where they get a PvP update once every 1.5-2 years...

TBC brought one Battleground, three Arenas and several World PvP objectives that would benefit your faction if you had them captured in the current zone. They also had Isle of Quel'danas which was eloquently dubbed Isle of Gank'danas on PvP servers.

WLK brought two new Battlegrounds and two new Arenas. They brought a whole world zone dedicated to World PvP in the form of Wintergrasp.

Cataclysm brought two new Battlegrounds and a new World PvP zone, Tol Barad. They also created daily questing areas where enemy players would frequently encounter one another, with flying mounts disabled; Tol Barad Peninsula and the Firelands. Cataclysm also brought Rated Battlegrounds. Cross-server, mind you, so that there's an actual serious ladder to climb.

Mists of Pandaria has brought three new Battlegrounds, two new Arenas. They've introduced actual PvP dailies in their daily zones, giving you the option to either focus on PvP or PvE once per day, and the dailies you gain access to depends upon that choice. Flying mounts are disabled in this area. Mists of Pandaria also recently added a role-check for their random battlegrounds, as to balance healers and DPS in each team.

Conclusion:
Blizzard offers a hell of a lot more than just battlegrounds. Bioware released this game with 3 Warzones and one Open World PvP area; Ilum. Now we have 5 Warzones, but no more Open World PvP. Should that be considered a step forward or a step backward? Personally, I'd rather have 3 Warzones and a functioning World PvP zone. Standing on the fleet inbetween Warzones isn't a lot of fun.

BioWare dribbles out content while ignoring lag, bugs and broken elements that have been with us since launch, while the Cartel Market is their new shiny because it makes money hand over fist.

Oh, an PvPers get bent over a stump again. What a surprise.

Game working as intended.

i'm not overly optimistic about the pvp teaser. In fact, I'd be more incline to believe that BW will release a new warzone and some pvp changes after august, but we'll have to pay 500 cartel coins to unlock the new WZ, and 1400 cartel coins to get the next tier of pvp gear or something.

That came nearly 3 years after the release of the Vanilla game, though. SWTOR already added two battlegrounds within the first year. I'm guessing 2.4 will have an arena like feature, based on some hints, who knows, though.

Quel'danas was a daily hub, much like Black Hole and Seciton X. I've seen PVP battles break out there too, but swtor players in general don't seem to really be as in to that. The big difference with WoW is that the factions often share the same quest giver, and a common trick is to stand on the quest givers and force people to attack each other. Anyway, weird example.

Getting beyond that, we're going into a game that was in its 4th-5th year, and not really fair to compare to the content of a game that's not even 2 years old yet, not to mention a smaller playerbase, budget and staff.

The difference is that the Horde and the Alliance, in general, shared the same daily quests. In their newest daily zone -- Isle of Thunder -- the factions have different quests, but I suppose they both mirror each others. The only difference is that the Alliance attack the horde's blood elves and the Horde attack the Alliance's high elves. I've already had lots of Wpvp skirmishes there. No big wars, 1v1s, 2v1s, 2vs2, 1v3s etc.. small-scale. Even SWTOR's engine would be able to handle that. But Bioware insists on separating the Republic and Empire so that they scarcely encounter one another.

And then there's companions too, that makes pvp extremely clunky. What I wouldn't give for a daily questing zone that rewarded some pvp comms, disabled companions and had the republic and empire go for the same objectives in the zone.
