And I disagree on both points. Money spent on the Cartel Market stands in evidence IMO. If the content stalls or stops the revenue may be effected. That to me is the most important thing.

My name is Bruce Maclean and I am a Senior Producer here at BioWare Austin. I know there have been a lot of questions around the forums about what kind of content you can expect from us this year and so I’m here today to give you all a bit of information about what we’re working on bringing to you this summer!

First up, Game Update 2.2, which is currently targeted for launch on June 11th:
  • Nightmare Mode Terror From Beyond. It’s got vicious new mechanics and is definitely not for the faint of heart. I’m very excited for you to see the new gear that comes with this, which uses a new appearance system we’ve developed for armor and weapons called ‘Scrolling UVs’.
  • New Guild Bonuses! Players in guilds currently receive a +5% experience bonus, but now every 5 active players in the guild will add an additional 1% bonus to XP and reputation, up to a maximum bonus of 10% each.
  • Crafters can now craft Underworld gear! But don’t RE that piece if you are still using it…
  • Unified fleet chat channel for each faction, for easier group finding without having to hop between instances.

We’ve seen a lot of requests for a rerun of our Double XP weekends. Well, okay! We’d like to help you stay cool in the heat of the summer with three weekends starting June 22nd and continuing through July 7th. The third and last weekend will actually start early on Thursday the 4th of July, in case you are enjoying a long Independence Day weekend.

By July 9th Ops groups will have had four weeks to cut their teeth on Nightmare Mode Terror From Beyond. That’s when we will launch Nightmare Mode Scum and Villainy as a part of Game Update 2.2.2! New mechanics and unique loot for you.

July 23rd look for a return of the Relics of the Gree Event for a nice two week long run. Per community request the Event will scaled up to level 55 on this next run!

August 6th is our target date for Game Update 2.3, which we are working on right now and will be our biggest update since 2.0. Some of the bigger parts of this update are:
  • New Flashpoints
  • New Daily Area
  • New Recurring Event
  • Significant graphical upgrades

This isn’t an exhaustive list, and we are also working on some longer term stuff. Sometimes we have been averse to discussing specific dates well in advance, because we aren’t going to release anything unless we feel it is ready to go live and we don’t want to upset folks if we move a date back. Well I think we should just tell you what date the teams are shooting for, and if we don’t hit them we’ll just tell you why. Radical thinking, I know. As we get closer we’ll have a lot more juicy details on these - keep your eyes peeled to the forums and SWTOR.com for more information. Also, for those who are curious about the next updates to PvP, I will just say… apart from minor tweaks (like stunbreak abilities cooldown being reset on death in 2.2) you should look forward to Game Update 2.4. /rubshands
What about a feature so many players have been craving so much - chat bubbles? Will we finally see those this summer or will you never get around to set this important feature to a high enough priority for it to finally be implemented?

Yes, you're going to get a little flamed on the forums if the content isn't exactly when a particular player wants, and yes, you're going to get even more if you miss those tentative dates, but just know that there is at least one player out there that absolutely loves the effort being shown and the forthrightness with your future plans.
Agree 100%

Yeah, I agree on that too. I'd like to get into running Ops more but for anyone who plays several alts, you basically need to quit your job and play the game full-time to keep up with all the new gear grinds on every character. Unfortunately, many people insist on people being OP to run anything. For example, you've got some people insisting upon someone to be level 55 for Gree stuff even though it's still tuned for level 50 and we were all stomping through the same content at level 50 last time.

Oh, come on. You can't actually believe that most PVP'ers would have been silent if nothing was mentioned about PVP, lol. You can't throw a rock around here without hitting a PVP'er QQ'ing about something.

I am not happy with the update but we need to understand "real content" update people want like FPs probably have development cycles longer than 8 weeks.

By the time 2.4 comes, it will be too late. You released a freakin expansion with NOTHING for pvp players (NOT EVEN NEW VALOR RANKS, that takes like 30 minutes to program in) and then tell us to wait almost a year after it releases for content we should have had to launch the expansion.
Okay thanks for the laugh. PvP did NOT keep this game afloat and in fact PvP has NEVER kept any game afloat as the PvP'ers are a very small but vocal minority in any MMO. You can believe what you want but that is a fact.

nightmare ops isnt exactly something for the masses and i cant imagine who would want new dailies at this point. and then no new PVP content untill fall? pretty heartbreaking. PVP has actually sooo much potential in this game and most PVPers dont want much except not wait a gigantic amount of time for something new.

a lot of people love to PVP in this game, even on my RP-PVE server. it cant be that difficult to throw your subcribers a bone while you work on whatever big PVP updates you say you have planned.

What the hell am I getting out of my 6 months worth of sub money Bioware? Some cartel coins? I'm paying $15 a month for $5 worth of coins? Where the hell is my content? Everything has been behind a pay wall with nothing but qol tweaks that everyone gets, even free players. So what benefit am I getting as a subscriber? Not new content apparently. 6 Month drought, what a waste of money.

I gladly subbed when I was getting something every 6-8 weeks, but so far there hasn't been anything given to us since the Gree event. That is pathetic

So no update on performance loss after 2.1 and the addition of collections causing it?

I for one consider Cartel Market content content and want to see it continue to grow at it's current pace, paid feature or not. So I think it's all real content.
I think my phrasing was accurate. We can argue all day long of what real content is and how many would agree or disagree. However, BW has stated themselves that the CM market items are their own updates and NOT considered content updates. Please see the quote from Cory Butler below:

What I do want to do is assure you that we have many more things in the works here at BioWare that aren’t Cartel Market features, and are the exact types of content you folks have been asking about. I cannot go into specifics yet but we are definitely working on things like new Flashpoints, Operations, daily hubs, events, PvP, and even the super-secret space project! Game Update 2.1 is just one of the many Updates you will get from us this year and I am really excited about what is still to come and I think you will be too.!
They themselves have stated that the content updates will be featuring items such as Flashpoints, OPs, etc, and not including the CM as content updates. Yes, we get CM features regularly, but those are not the same as the Content most of us are asking for when referring to Content. BW makes the same statement here.

Where is the PvP content for the Summer?? I suggest Rift FTP on June 12th. At least there is a deeper gearing and rank system there. Not to mention they have unlimited warfronts for FREE. I love SWTOR but PvP and bolstering with 2.0 has been a big letdown.
