In the discussions around the Gree Event quests in the PvP area, where PvE players express that they don't want to be "griefed" in the PvP area, or don't want to have these quests within the PvP area at all, I see a single argument being repeated over and over again - and again and again and again ...

This argument coming from the PvP faction goes like this :

- Get over it.
- Don't cry.
- Get used to it.
- Don't whine.
- You don't need to enter this area.
- You don't need to do these quests.
- If you do, you'll have to be aware of the possibility of being ganked.

More cynically, put, these patterns go like this :

- Being ganked is normal. Get used to it.
- Don't whine if a level 55 kills a level 45. Don't whine about it.
- Ganking is fun.
- It's pretty normal that there is no politeness in an PvP area.
- Politeness and PvP is like a division through zero.
- Get used to see your character being killed by an so much more mightier predator.

This just as an example.

I always see these arguments being repeated over and over again, and the more entitled a person is to PvP, the more aggressive it is formulated, and the less reasoning is given. Some people only post "Don't whine" or a similar remark, and that's it. They just don't want to argue - which, on the other hand, just shows their eliticism, because argueing would mean to admit that other people's positions *might* perhaps be right, too. So, not argueing is for them the only option - ir trying to cry down argumenters in an aggressive tone.

What I do wonder, however, is why these arguments are so often repeated.
I just don't see any point in repeating an argument over and over again in that manner.
I assume that there should be far more arguments available to these posters, so that they wouldn't need to reapeat them so often.

Can anyone here give me as reason for this repeat ?

Alrik
its because people are whining, its a multiplayer game. you dont HAVE to go into these zones.

play a single player game or GASP dont go into these zones

PvP zone + PvP missions....hmmm....I guess I'm of the opinion that if you elect NOT to PvP, YOU are technically the griefer. It's not like he's entering an operation and trying to get you killed.
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

Are you being serious here? Wiping raids is easy as hell, it just costs creds for the repair bill.

Let me get this straight...

There's really a 9-page discussion about whether PvP quest, labelled as [PvP], taking place in a PvP area, requiring consensual PvP flagging among all parties, and giving PvP rewards upon completion is a PvP quest or not?

I can see your not biased against open world pvp at all.

The quests that your talking about say PVP on them.

If you dont want to PVP then dont take PVP quests

If you dont want to get killed by PVP then you have a 10 second warning telling you your about to be flagged for PVP.

I am not a PVPer. I want to get that out of the way first.

I have NO problem with the PVP missions.

As a PVE player, I have 5 repeatable daily missions, 2 repeatable world bosses, 2 weekly ops bosses, and a few one-time-only missions. That's a lot of ways to use PVE to earn rep in the Gree event.

PVP players only have 2.

TWO. Instead of over TEN.

TWO. Versus TEN.

You cry about PVPers being "entitled" when you begrudge them for having 1/5 of the content that you have.

GET OVER YOURSELVES. We PVE players aren't the entire popuation of the game. PVP players pay subs and sink money into the cartel market too. This is just asmuch their game as it is ours. All of the Gree rewards are cosmetic, which benefits PVP players just as much as us PVE players.

STOP CRYING JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE CONTENT TOO.
