Sorceror or Operative - Interested in CC abilities

I love a support class and being able to CC whether it be in PVP or PVE. I've narrowed it down to either a Sorc or Operative. I like both ranged and melee classes so my actual playstyle is more with locking players down for a period of time and maybe do some healing as well. Since both of these classes can CC and Heal, I'm stumped as to which one to play.

Are both the Sorc and the Op on equal playing field as far as CC and healing is concerned?

Which one do you think has more versatility in the end-game?

Any suggestions?

I only have a sorc but... imo. Operative = rogue. Sorc = arcane mage if you have ever played wow.

Operative main cc can be used only out of combat and in stealth, and you have to be withint 10 range.

I dont really now about sorc one.

Of course, you can always use the skill that takes you out of combat an in stealth to apply it, but that skill has 3 min cd.

Sorcs are a bit better on CC but operatives are better healers imo.

Comparing a sorc to a priest would be far more accurate.
