How I got pwned by BioWare OR a REAL reason to unsub

About me: played since early access, upgraded to Deluxe and then CE, spent tons of cash and always supported BioWare through this project.

Yeah, Makeb is nothing compared to previous planets, yeah cat ppl is rubbish, yeah barbershop is robbery in plain daylight. etc. etc. But each time I paid, saying 'ok, if that's necessary for them to keep this game going, sure'.

Then, over a month ago, I left for an urgent and lengthy trip to a remote country. When I returned and logged to finally checkout Makeb and 2.1 features ALL my stuff up on GTN was GONE, wiped, erased, extinct. This included a Korrealis, Life day bundle, evented rare stuff, over 15k CC worth of CM stuffs, very rare world drops. Net loss of all this stuff is worth around 150kk credits in current Red Eclipse GTN prices.

Clearly, all Support had to say is 'yeah, right, we wipe all your mails after 30 days. SORRY. We can't restore your Korrealis coz we don't have logs to prove you ever had it. Hope you enjoy SWTOR'.

Well I don't. I have mails from Bio and other players over 400 days old. I have the over 30 days pointless Makeb stuff mails that weren't wiped.

I feel HAD and OWNED buy this selfish and careless system. Overall attitude towards customer care or even game support is directly the result of EA malicious policies.

Couldn't ever imagine saying this, but yes, Bye SWTOR. Thank you and all the lovely folk for the fun days we used to have.

You can have my stuff (or what's left of it).

EDIT to post screenies of my tickets.
1. The initial ticket I wrote here , and John's response here .
2. My second ticket , this was a large letter to CS pleeding them to restore the items. It hang for 5 days, then got deleted and closed 0__o.
3. I opened a 3rd one insulted by the way this was managed. There came Anthony's response here and here . After this I came to the forums.
4. Finally, my 4th ticket that some of you advised I should post. This has been unanswered. I suspect it will also be deleted in a few days.

That sucks... i know alot of people will say you shoulda canceled the items.. but RL happens... I dont feel that this is right. I'd be upset too, I left RIFT cause I got hacked and it sucked, so I can understand the frustration to a degree. Good luck

A guildy of mine had the same problem but the CS rep restored ALL his lost items...

You got owned by yourself, pal. I always cancel items when I leave game for personal reasons.
Though try to contact support again. It depends on the person, some of them are very helpful, others are lazy.

Seconded. I've had some bad CS experiences in this game (the reps who send you a response that's completely unrelated to what you said come to mind), and some amazing ones (one rep awarded me Cartel Coins as thanks for discovering an especially severe bug!), so you just have to keep trying. I'm sure they have some record somewhere of your items.

Well it wasnt really Bioware that pwned you... it was real life.
It was that unexpected and apparantly very immediate trip out of country that did it.

Some situations are easier to deal with then others when it comes to lost loot. Any time that I've had an item accidentally get deleted or lost, I've had them restored. Heck, they even gave handing my guild out gear and coms through the mail last week because a boss bugged out and vanished after it died.

It seems like stuff getting lost in the mail tricky. Recently in WoW, I had mailed off a bunch of Heirloom gear to alts, forgot to pick some of them up, and they vanished. The GMs would not restore them to me for the same reasons (couldn't prove they exist). I didn't unsub from WoW because of that, though it sucked. I twas ultimately my own fault for not retrieving the items.

The odd thing here though is that items posted to you by Bioware remain in your mail folder seemingly forever and yet any item mailed by a player gets removed after 30 days.

As for people saying that it's the OPs fault for not removing items from GTN, get real.
We don't know the reasons why the OP was unable to play SWTOR within that 30 day period, but real life wins every time.
