Why do the vast majority of romances in this game border on pedophilia?

This thread reminded me of the rumor I heard that Pedobear was an upcoming Cartel Cash race unlock. Likewise, next Cartel pack will have a beat-up speeder that looks suspiciously like a van with painted-over windows.

Tbh, many of the class stories, especially jedi ones, almost assume that the player character is quite young. JK? Came to Tython to be trained as a padawan, so probably pretty young. Consular? Same thing. SW? If you are so promising student from a promising bloodline, your Force sentitivity was probably noticed very soon, so you being old when you are brought to Korriban "ahead of schedule" wouldn't make sense. Trooper? You just finished your training, and unless you decided to change your career from something else to trooper, you probably are pretty young. IA? Same thing.

Imo the only storylines that don't support a young pc heavily are inquisitor (I don't remember anyone referring to you as young, correct me if I'm wrong, and you could be a slave from a planet Empire just conquered), smuggler (again, no one says you are young as far as I remember, and actually it seems that you have done this job for a while) and bounty hunter (I'm actually not sure if, at the start, someone does call you young...but anyway, the story itself would work with a older and more experienced hunter, too).

Zash comments about how you remind her of herself when she was young. Thanaton comments about your youth too.

Yeah but zash and thanaton are both oooooooooooooold... so to them you could be young and still be in your early thirties...

Fem smugglers get a comment from Corso about her being young, if you flirt with the class npc (forget his name) who's obviously older.

Body type 1 looks like an anorexic 15 year old, several companions use this body type.

The average age of players in TOR, judging by General chat, is roughly 15 years old.

They are just playing to their market.

Really? That was my first impression way back when.

It gives me the willies every time I see people RPing in "mature" ways with those body types.

P.S. I was not implying or insinuating that EA were actually supporting pedophilia in any way, just that those body types look to me like adolescents. Moreso with the females, the male BT1's just look... odd.

Oh. Agree with BT1 Males looking odd. I just never thought BT1 looked aneroxic. Though I never thought it looked adolescent either. Though I was surprised to see BT1 is taller than BT2.

1) The fact that you feel uncomfortable does not entitle you to anything -- other than the way you feel. Some people's belief that it does is political correctness gone way too far.

2) Take a look in the mirror and ask yourself a few questions. Clearly you've got some unresolved issues that you may want to answer and deal with.
