Why do the vast majority of romances in this game border on pedophilia?

I'm not sure if it's creepy on Bioware's part or just reflective of how they view their fanbase but every class I've played so far (excluding the smuggler) ends up romancing some dainty and youthful girl who serves under him. It always devolves to some strange power fantasy where the glorious hero is fondling his subordinate.

It makes me uncomfortable.

1) Then don't flirt with them
2) They're all over 18 (even tho we have no idea if there is even a legal age in the Star Wars universe, which likely varies anyways between race and planet). You know that mature looking Chiss? Yeah. He/she is really 11. They age faster, by 10 years old, they're young adults.
3) Play a trooper...Jorgen and Dorne do not look dainty or even 18ish.
4) You're playing what? A SW? BH?

I played through MOST of the romances....every romanceable NPC seemed well into adulthood. No idea who you're speaking of. :/

Yeah, not sure which romance the OP is talking about...

The only romance I've felt where my character wasn't same age, but slightly older, was BH and Torian.

Also, I do think TOR goes the route of thinking every character is between 18-24ish at the start of the storyline.

I think this is mostly in the players head.

Bioware said wayyy back at launch I cant remember exactly the ages but im pretty sure it was

Mako, Vette, Jaesa, Kira are all around 24
Elara and Risha were mid to late 20's
Nadia is ealy 20s
and Ashara is the youngest at 20.

Obviously they're going to be legal. That doesn't change the nature of the relationship.

I've seen vids of the two sith classes and they both pork their padawans but they're supposed to be creepy robe-wearing stalkers so I suppose it's okay.

It really doesn't help that all male Force user x fem Force user comp romances involve nubile young minds...

Because I swear, Light side Jaesa sounds like someone from high school. not!Asoka too! Kira feels like the girl you verbally sparred with at the lockers. And Nadia takes Girl Next Door to a whole new level.

Even if they are padawans and also technically legal by birth certificate, they sure set my Akbar Alarms off.

As for the others, they kinda vary, but definitely no cougars in this game outside of romanceable NPCs.

However, I'm fine with that. IDIC, after all-- Oh wait wrong universe-- oh WAIT same movie director.
