Your scenario is based on the queue taking 15 minutes and the game taking 12. I've never waited more than 3 minutes for a queue pop at prime time. Thus, if I'm just going for the weekly, there's no point for me to stay in a losing WZ.

Wait a minute, you think good players leave, and the bad players stay to try to win?

Quitter definition:
noun:
a person who quits or gives up easily, especially in the face of some difficulty, danger, etc.

a person who quits or gives up easily, without trying hard

Verb:
to stop, cease, or discontinue: She quit what she was doing to help me paint the house.

to depart from; leave (a place or person): They quit the city for the seashore every summer.

to give up or resign; let go; relinquish: He quit his claim to the throne. She quit her job.

to release one's hold of (something grasped).

to acquit or conduct (oneself).

Read what a quitter is, then try to rethink linking a quitter to people that actually take pride in being a good player.

Let me know your answer, I assume you won't come up with anything witty enough to counter my truth about the matter of a quitter.

I would stop now, I will win this argument.

I don't consider it carrying if they're at my skill level. And if everyone were at my skill/gear/class (or performance, at least), then I'd only lose to actual coordinated premades with healers. Sooo if everyone performed as well as I do, then yeah I'd nearly never lose. Now that I got into a premade with a lucky 1.7 mil heal count and on their team, I only lose to the other 3 better premades xD

My thoughts about your grammatical skills.
No, it wasn't targeted at anyone in particular, just at the qq'ing in general.

Caeliux, I know you and I never agree and I don't expect us to, we're probably just very different people.

However, I'll tell you this - good players do quit... I consider myself a decent player and I'm not afraid to say I quit. I will also say this though, in a well matched game, even a losing one, I will never quit.

You simply cannot control who you group up with when you pug, and I don't want to waste my time carrying people who don't know what to do... if anyone tries to punish me for that I will leave the game, as in unsub.

I've been a sports player all my life, and in my tennis competitions I give it my all since I can depend on myself and there is no one to blame but yourself. In basketball, you have a team you depend on, practice with and feel like a part of the family -- it's like a ranked team in this game and no one will leave a ranked team.

What people are talking about is leaving pugs... and for you guys to keep saying -- "waaah, wahhh, why don't you like staying in games with us pugs?"

Well, if I leave a pug game, it's probably because the sheer level of idiocy on the team pushed me to that. I'll always give the people a chance, give instruction on positioning before the game and so on, but if people are selfish or just plain dumb, why should I waste my precious time on carrying them?

Maybe you have 10 hours a day to play but I don't.

So answer me this,

When you choose to quit, do you think its egotistical and unfair to the others you left behind to deal with the mess you just left?

If the answer is yes (which is yes by all means) then something needs added to prevent people abusing such a system where games depend if anyone is going to have a quitter ego or not.

What I mean is in this game SWTOR, games are won by effort, and let me tell you I have came back and won games where quitters almost lost it for us and won.

Like down 2% to 100% in Nova Coast, 6 quitters, and came back and won.

If things like that happen, (which is rare), then SWTOR needs to add something to either prevent quitters leaving, (which will never ever happen), or they should add punishment in the form of a debuff likes Warcraft, League of Legends, Rift has.

The simple fix is to punish egotistical minds, its the only way.

All the excuses in the world makes someone quit, and in the end of the game that game was determined on quitters and effort.

If this means anything to you, thanks for understanding my points to say the least, and I do understand people look at this in a way I don't, my heart and pride can't condone a quitter attitude.

There is a number of personal reasons why.

No I don't think it's unfair at all, any more than it is unfair for bad players to tank games for others.

Some choose to be selfish, others choose not to play with those people. Both sides have freedom of choice and it should stay that way.

If you punish people that leave bad players behind, how do you propose to punish the players that leave nodes unattended? Or are we supposed to stay in and pay the price for those geniuses with 15 minutes out of our maybe 2 hours we have?

I think the difference here is fairly obvious - in most cases, a bad player can't suddenly choose to play well. That's what makes him bad. If he actually does know how to play the game well but is deliberately sabotaging his team then I agree he's just as selfish as a warzone quitter.

Similarly I don't think people have a problem with those who leave a game through circumstances outside their control (e.g. d/c, crashes, sudden personal emergencies, etc).

I see what your saying, and sure some games are really unfun and bs with all the bad players. Believe me when I tell you I despise poor players that only care about death match PVP, I don't scream at them but I go on the line and try to help in ops chat to keep the course with those that do care.

Maybe there is a tolerance level of impatient gamers that need a win fix instead of a losing streak, and I understand that.

I call it the ADD crowd of greedy egotistical gamers...

At any rate Bioware allows it, so therefore my opinions are void and quitters can stay happy quitting.
