The designer Kiosk?? Again, see the sentence above.. Another vanity and cosmetic item..

Another irrelevant statement.. We should be thankful that all of them aren't strictly in the Cartel Market..

Again, this is nothing new.. This is what they said they would do.. There is nothing to complain about..

The force is totally nonexistent with this thread..
I think you misunderstood OP point of view. Read again the whole thingy before jumping in and act like that droid from Bugs report.

It could be a plethora of things, including but not limited to: your slow e-machine, your ISP, or the moon in vernal equinox.
This ability delay has been around since the game came officially live. There was a thread around with plenty examples to show what players were talking about. If is was 10 thousand out of 1 million players experience that then yes but not the case. I think this is thread in case http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=227621

I know there are many drama queens and trolls that fable around with preposterous requirements on forums but digging your head in the sand like a ostrich and suck up does not help the cause at all.

I will be real frank and say I do not mind paying for fluff stuff. In fact, I have spent a lot of money on the Cartel Market. Just like there's not a mini-pet or mount I do not own off of the Blizzard store (for World of Warcraft). There's nothing on the cash shop for DC Universe Online I do not own as well (as I subscribe to: DCUO, SWTOR, & WoW).

The issue I have with 2.1, assuming it launches the way they say it will, is what they are charging (sub or not sub is the question). I can change how my characters look like any where any time in DCUO, for no fee other than learning the style and the cost to buy said style.
In WoW, it's a barber shop, for gold. If you want a more robust change (gender/race), it costs money (RL) though. In DCUO, they charge for the gender. The styles you do spend RL money on, are given for free, to every single character on you account, regardless of server, for free.

I can keep going, but it is about SWTOR's competitors doing it, and doing it better (basing this off what has been revealed). I see nothing wrong with pointing this out and asking for clarification. My feelings and opinions won't change without it, but if you played those MMOs (or like me still do currently), why would you support this one, if it is done better else where? For whatever reason, this gets lost and I am not sure why.

It just happens that the fair business is EA Sports, and that's why the rest of us don't matter. You wanna hurt EA, convince the sports fans to boycott.

Not sure why the sports fans keep buying the games over and over like they do, when it's 90% the same game, 10% changes, and 2 steps forward / 2 steps back every year.

All i can say ffxiv realm reborn open beta june......

I been a player of this game when beta weekends started and a founder, i seen many improvements in game but i see issues that they seem to ignore and spend most the time on cartel crap.

now i get stuck with no obstacles in the way and have to wait 160 seconds each time to try again -- why should subs have to wait 2:30 minutes to get unstuck from areas that in the past never had these issues, i know this because i quested on other char i have.

CS is horrible, i'm gone if they do not step up to the plate and address the promises they made.

somebody at bw/ea needs to step forward and assure all of us they will keep there word.

I think they just need to realize that making the customers happy with maybe (noone can tell for certain right now) slightly lower profit is going to make them more money in the long run than short sighted milking them here and now. The sooner they do, the better.

I have a very bad feeling that most customization outside of what we already have will be Real-Money transactions only. This will make me very sad as a subscriber, as I already give them real money.

The fact that they said "we won't charge for story content, only customization" seems to be the "out" that everyone is using... but what about just taking issue with that on it's own? BioWare/EA, WHY are you charging real money only for appearance changes, and race unlocks (especially to subscribers)? Then they act benevolent because they will give a "discount" (UP TO 50% on "Some" things, which means don't hold your breath for great discounts) on these non-impacting features... so good news, if you're a subscriber, you only have to give us less money for cool new content going forward.

Look, if you want to make money, just flat out remove the subscription option. Make it an ACTUAL Free2Play game and charge us up the wazoo for everything (like other EA ventures), but at least be honest about it. I feel strung along as a sub... every new thing they announce will be "cheaper for subscribers." This literally equates to "paying for a discount." This does not grant us appearance changes, it allows us to pay less for them, plus $15 a month.

I get this is a business... but it can also be a fair business. If you run a fair business, people will flock to it, and you will get more business. If you run an unfair business, people will hold polls on "worst company in the world" and you will be on it.
This is the kind of feedback that EAWare should listen. Its the same feedback that they didnt want to listen when was released and they almost left alone in only 3 months after headstart. Got a second chance after F2P and they are near to be alone again if they continue with this crap like 2.1 and all the nice stuff being via CCs.

But dont worry, after 2.1 is released and charged everyone who wanna change their toons, they will come after a while:
"Guys, we are listened the community and some stuff like haircuts, colours etc, will be available as ingame money too. And blablabla".

And then people will rejoice and fanboys will dance but the real thing is that they got the money first knowing that was a greedy movement and 2.1 was an insult for suscribers.

I still do not understand how many times do people want to change how they look. Your subscriber CC grant should be more than enough to change your hair every day...

The same that changing your armor apperance is a CORE feature even if has not impact in the game like you say cos youre using the same mods and the stats doesnt change at all.

Look, Bioware is not idiot and knows they will earn a lot of money with this. Even when they are slapping in the face of the subcribers. They also know this and it is cos Eric came with the crap about 2.2 and blablabla. And they know that a Barber Shop should be out of CCs. And a Barber Shop is not about changing race or sex. If you wanna be a Cathar or not a human anymore being a Twilek, is ok and you must pay money for it but NEVER if wanna change your hair style or colour.
Wow! What a contrived bit of "logic." You should really find out the definition of a core mechanic. A core mechanic is something that the game cannot function without or is in some way tied into the functioning of a class or storyline objective. For example, SWG and GW2 made the barbershop and color modification of gear a core mechanic. It was actually part of the character skillset and a factor in how the player had an income. Plenty of other MMORPGs have no barbershops or color modification for gear. Therefore, it is not a core mechanic as many other MMORPGs function fine without it.

As many have pointed out before, if you are a subscriber, you are given a stipend of CCs to spend each month. At minimum, it is 500/mo. Since we don't what the costs will be, we can't really say if it is outside the norm. So anything else is just overreactionary.
It's amazing how loud a dollar can be.

I stopped playing in the summer last year. Resubbed for a bit, even bought the expac. Stopped again till the expac came out and have resubbed again. But if literally everything in 2.1 including the new species is locked behind cartel coins, I really am done. When Makeb was first announced, it was not supposed to be paid for extra. Cathar wasn't.

I have no problem with modern F2P MMO's. Many of them are done well. You can subscribe and get all the benefits. but if after buying a CE, having an active subscription and buying the expac, if I'm expected to still pay more for a new species and an appearance customization feature which I can get in other MMO's without paying extra, I am seriously done. Call it trolling, call me unreasonable, whatever. This is just over the line.
first sentient post I've read on this thread. Totally unacceptable.
