I think it's silly that they ignite their saber and hold it out for no reason. I don't remember the Emperor doing that in RotJ.

The result is we have no filler attack like every other ranged class does. So when the specials are all on CD, we just stand there waving our little glowrod around. It's like giving the Sniper a baseball bat for their main hand. It's dumb and doesn't fit in any way with how the class works. To make it even sillier, our "ranged tank" companion is also saddled with the same dumb setup; all ranged specials and a basic attack that only works in melee range.

What's wrong with you people? I'm all the time whacking on mobs with my saber on my sages - I run into a group and cast forcequake a couple of times, then give them a few whacks to finish them off, certainly works well enough in PvE. I wouldn't do it when I'm in a group, though.
It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Would you be happier if your Sorcerer had no light saber and had the exact same abilities other than the few melee abilities? Because that would solve the "useless light saber" problem right quick. No, I have a hunch what you really want is "more melee attacks for my Sorcerer." Assuming that's true, you gonna lobby equally hard for better ranged attacks for Juggernauts?

Actually I don't want any new Melee for my Sorc whatsoever, I want her to have some ranged lightsaber action or at least some animations that don't consist of her awkwardly palming her saber while she spits lightning all over. We want more than a stat stick. Yes people will complain about anything, but sometimes our complaints are very legitimate.
