Inquisitors should get a literal hitting stick.

Yes, a stick. Like Palpatine or Yoda's walking stick. The animation for lightning would look slightly less stupid with a stick because the way they hold a lightsaber it's like they're about to lose a few fingers.

Maybe a finishing move where you throw it for a stab or include it in a lightning cast where you use it as some sort of focusing enhancer like wand of sorts even.

I understand that the Assas uses her double and for some real saber action you have to go warrior, but still, as a Sith with a saber, I hate to see it go so unused.
blame the people who insisted long before launch day the game should be based on trinity game mechanics .(most of them quit after 3 months even though they got what they wanted) ,

it would have have been good if we had been given a blank character class and the ability to build our own perfect character for our play styles .

Oh heck yes. And they should give us a sound (like the smuggler's laugh) that says, "I'm going to thump you but good!' Or just the sound of "Thump, Thump, Thump, ending with a Wack!"

Had I been in charge of creating the ability trees and levels, this is what I would done.

First, cap would been at 40 at most. Then, I would have had a point given for every level past 10 but only 20 choices in each clearly defined tree. Every single class would have the ability to be a tank, healer or dps, but there would be alpha classes for each role.

Troopers and BHs would have made the best tanks, with an innate 5 percent boost to their health pool and agro management.

Sith Inquisitors and Jedi Consulars would have been the best healers, with an innate 5 percent boost to health pool and healing power.

Sith Warriors, Jedi Knights, Smugglers and Agents would have made the best DPS, with an innate 5 percent boost to energy pools and DPS.

If you choose a role outside of the innate boost role you lose the innate bonus.

By having 30 points but only 20 abilities in the tree you would have the ability to spec 10 points in any other tree. So tanks could spec some healing to increase survivability or add DPS for agro management, Healers could boost DPS or tanking to increase survival rates and be more solo friendly, DPS could add Tanking to increase damage mitigation or perhaps some healing to allow some self support. Almost all base abilities would have been available in the first 10 points in each tree (at very weak initial points), with improvements to those abilities in the following 10 points to add.

This would give you the opportunity to have, on average, the first 4 or 5 base abilities for each class in one tree aside from your maxed tree, or perhaps 2 or 3 of the other two trees instead.

You could have, of course, dabbled in all three trees if you wanted. You get the bonus innate ability by topping out the natural ability tree for that class. It would be something that is applied by choosing the last ability in the alpha tree.

Also note that the total amount of specials would have been much lower...somewhere around 8 unique abilities per class, with the ability to upgrade those abilities as you moved up the tree with other effects. Then you could have around 5 supplemental abilities from one or two more trees. That would have simplified rotation and reduced development costs, and left plenty of room for expansion of the trees and level cap in the future.

And it wouldn't have change a thing, some classes/trees/talents would still be better suited to perform certain roles or in certain situations.

The only way to prevent that is to have one class.

I recall my Assassin using her saber and force abilities quite a lot together.
"It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more...than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so *********** what." - Stephen Fry

Which doesn't make the non-trinity solution that much enjoyable to me.
