Try unequipping your saber and see how many of your abilities you can still use. It's honestly fine the way it is now.

It's there to be pretty and captivate the crowd. I had a player stop and ask about my derelict purple lightsaber. It really works.

This is true. But you should also add that the Emperor didnt hold his lightsaber turned on when casting any type of lightning. IMO it looks just stupid in this game, which is a shame.

Nothing like killing someone in a WZ with a "Double Strike". I like to think they look up to the top-left corner of the screen on respawn to see just how they were killed

Maybe a finishing move where you throw it for a stab or include it in a lightning cast where you use it as some sort of focusing enhancer like wand of sorts even.

I understand that the Assas uses her double and for some real saber action you have to go warrior, but still, as a Sith with a saber, I hate to see it go so unused.
I think we should get some sort of placeholder with the only setback being not being able to use the two melee attacks.

Thrash is an amazing humiliation kill when you get the KB on someone with it. It's still on my quickbar for that exact reason.

It is stupid to hold it and never use it, but there's no real reason they'd make a change.

They'd make a change if they realized that it's making players unhappy to have a useless weapon.

Another "people will complain about anything" thread. I f you don't like it, ignore it. As someone else mentioned, it's a '"stat stick," so you are getting something out of it.

How about this: certain long ranged sorc / sage attacks would, when cast in melee range, use a saber swing instead?
