We had 8 stories. Now we have 2. I don't think you understand the concept of "growth" when you say the word "overgrew." Shrinking is not growth.

I am happy that there will be a renewed focus on story, I love story, its why I picked this MMO. But I picked an MMO, not an episodic single player RPG that I have to pay a subscription to receive the episodes.

Perhaps those awful linguists who regulate the language are party of your evil conspiracy of complainers?

You're trying to change your argument now because it has become clear that their shrinking of the story is not an example of growth.

Disney's involvement and the upcoming boost from new movies definitely make TOR class stories future's less dim. HOWEVER. Bioware also just, well, kind of already said "no more class stories":

Quote:
Q: Where does the development team stand with regards to individual class stories? Are these still a priority for upcoming content?

A: Great question. The way you choose to overcome your own personal villains is a crucial part of what defines your character, and once you’ve gotten closure on your personal story, you’re ready to be a key player in the larger conflicts that threaten the Empire and the Republic. Moving forward, we’re focusing on those stories – conflicts that decide the fate of the entire Galaxy and demand the attention of other living legends like yourself. You can still put your personal touch on these stories, and you’ll develop relationships just like before, but now the stakes are higher, and the experience can be shared with your friends.

In case you can't translate from intelligence-insulting PR, allow me. Our class stories are over. "Moving forward," they will be making faction based content only.

I don't get this obsession with class stories.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the class stories and I wish for more of them in the future, but really...they will never be enough to satisfy anyone.

So, unless they release 3 more acts with an equal number of missions as the first 3 acts we had to do when we were leveling to 50, I don't see the point in all this debate on whether class stories are something we'll see again soon.

Class missions are what makes each character unique, so obviously they are a big part of the game, but why care so much about something that will probably take you 3-4 hours to complete (if it's not 3 full Acts) and you can never do again, except on another toon of the same class?

because class stories essentially sold this game.hel, the replayability of this game is to roll alts. i assure you most ppl wouldve left this game without those stories. sure makeb story was nice, but when you take in consideration that my BH affect the events of makeb the same as a SW,beside several different lines, it really grow old fast. class personal gives a personal sense of an adventure. faction stories doesn't do that.

You posted a single definition of growth and then mocked him for using the second definition on the very same source you quoted to prove him wrong. It makes you a huge hypocrite.

EVE has like what, 200-300K subs? ...And they've had something like 17 DLC expansions and have just celebrated their 10th anniversary. TOR will be just fine, so long as they remain commited to regular quality content updates.

Nooo, I posted the definition of growth which fit the context of his post. That was the only context that could be used. What, you thought he used the term to describe a growing organism? His poorly thought out posts were about story lines. Stories are not organisms. Also, he didn't use the second definition even. You just made that up.

Perhaps you should pay careful attention when attempting to be clever in the future.
