You can only change hair, hair color, and piercings for in-game gold. Full appearance re-customization costs $15 in WoW and $25 for a race change.

um... Yes it is...

That Marauder is wearing a level 1 smuggler outfit. And (hopefully) has modded it so just like I said...

"However in SWTOR, your character's clothing and overall look is a direct representation of what your character is actually wearing as far as gear is concerned."

He is actually wearing a piece of gear he can take off sell, throw away, trade to another person or whatever.

In TSW or CoH or any other game like that. Your clothing is not a piece of gear at all.

Now assume you want to do all these things for a character you haven't played in a while but you've been spending your monthly allowance on gamble boxes (because they keep putting such kool things in those) and now you have to pay more to do any of that. Yeah, sorry that is not free access to subs.

You would have to spread it out IF all those things came to pass, which I don't agree with because ships will be the SSSP equivalent of end game armor which is earned through game play means, but lets assume all those things are on the market. You'll be able to buy all that stuff with credits off the GTN.

You're basically complaining that they are giving you so much stuff you want that you just HAVE to buy it. Well, yeah. The truth is if you truly want it you'll use your coins on it and wait to get the next thing next month.

Let's look at it another way. Let's say in the next year they add 5 new operations, 5 new flashpoints, 3 new daily areas, 2 new classes, 2 new planets, give us 2 new tiers of gear and of course the SSSP with it's own levels and ships to earn. How are you going to have time to play all that? You'll never be able to do all the content you want to do in a month. You'll have to pick and choose which content you want to play. The same thing applies. You'll have a choice of which content you do each month but you'll never be able to do all of it, just like you'll have a choice of what to spend coins on but you'll never be able to have all of it in a month.

Until the devs expand the character creation system to include body and facial feature sliders, separate Zabrak headbones from hair and Twi'lek lekku narkings from cosmetics, allow Zab tattoos and Twi markings to be colorable AND give twis another two dozen skin colors to choose from the whole "barber shop" thing is going to be a waste of money and CC. And these are just SOME of the things BW needs to do to bring their creation system up to a level that is fun, in-depth and doesn't feel like something from 15 years ago.

And I also agree that subscribers should be able to access it for in game credits. Cartel coins only is a pretty stupid, and extremely greedy, way of adding in things like this. There should be more than one way to pay for using things like this.

I'm getting 500cc before 2.1. Those cc are not for customizing. If we only started getting cc now, sure use the argument that they're for customizing, but those cc are a part of what we get for being a subscriber, it's a part of our $15. While I'm not against paying a bit of cc to get rid of the fat on my inquisitor, but it should be clear that we do not get cc FOR customizing.

All of this sound reasonable (maybe except 5 new Ops, would rather think 3) but 2 new classes is never going to happen

James Ohlen: " For 2012 we really want players to feel like they're getting their money's worth. You're going to see so many changes and additions to the Star Wars Universe. It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."

He means the options like hair styles, faces, body types, etc already in the game. Not the barber shop feature itself.

People using the "your stipend means you get to access all features as a sub" argument, what happens when these features cost more than the stipend? I bet you anything BW won't increase the stipend to cover being able to use the added features.
