I agree to a certain extent because he said, "We will keep at it, I promise."

It's all a matter of opinion after he said this, because it's everyone's opinion as to what is a satisfactory amount of QoL updates in a patch. If they keep pushing a couple of QoL things on every update I'm ok with that, but I know that my level of tolerance isn't the same as others.

I think that's where I'll lose the most traction in this argument. I believe there's a fine line between putting freckles on a cat and playing a game without ability lag. Others think they're all under the same heading. All it takes is a developer (or other yellow text) to come in here and say, 'Yes it is!' and then leave the thread for good. That would prevent them from having to go and actually get an answer, probably from someone pretty high up.

A lot of gray area...I agree. I also think that's deliberate because telling us that this patch will completely fix ability delay puts a great amount of pressure and accountability before they can actually and factually speak about it.

I'm going to wait until 2.1 comes out and see what happens. If it comes out with only cartel market related features then I'm probably going to stop playing. I always told myself that if a content patch comes out with only cartel market "content" then I'm done. Isn't this what a subscription fee is for to begin with?

The fact of the matter is 2.1 Customization for a price is a slap in the face (as it stands right now) to everyone that awaits these game updates for content. I think the only game update that did not have content was group finder and the server consolidation. I guess Bioware figures that the summer time is the best chance hand out a garbage patch.

Honestly, does anyone know why it takes them half a year to do something?

Hopefully, most players do not complete SV HM before August.

2.1 Cartel Coins Required

Nice rename. But to rename it will cost you 600 Cartel Coins, OP.

Also, just because they "said" that customization options will be cartel coin only, why can't we just take issue with that in and of itself as subscribers? Customization is a game feature, it is part of nearly every MMO, and it's identical to the customization that is already present in character creation. What they are charging for is the privilege to use it "again" on the same character, without the option to buy it with in-game currency, which several other MMO's do.

My main personal issue, is that they are treating customization as a non "core" feature of the game. Any long-time MMO player will tell you that customization IS the CORE feature of an MMO, more so than any other genre. So I take great issue with the fact that even though I pay $15/mo., I also have to pay more to use them, or wait months to save up enough "complimentary" coins, paying $15 each month during the waiting period.

This whole thing just makes me sad. I love this game. I don't want to hurt EA or BioWare but I also don't want them to hurt me either.
You realize that everything in your post is either not true or a matter of opinion..

Customization in a characters looks is not a feature.. It is a luxury.. How your character looks has no impact on the game itself.. Your character could look like a smurf and the game would still play the same.. You would still have the same abilities according to your class and your gear would still provide the same stats to your character.. So lets be honest here.. The ability to change your characters looks is not a feature.. It doesn't impact the game in the slightest.. It serves no function in the game.. It doesn't make anything harder or easier.. That is simply a fact..

We are given the complementary coins to give us access to things in the Cartel Market.. So when things like the Cathar are added and the designer Kiosk is added.. We do have the ability to purchase them without having to actually BUY more coins to do it.. You do not have to spend a single penny to get these things.. Again, that is simply a fact..

Bioware/EA are not hurting you.. They are not charging you extra for anything.. You are not being cheated or ripped off.. They have done nothing to you.. They give us those free coins so that we can buy them without incurring an additional cost.. All preferred and F2P players will have to purchase coins to get them.. They will have to pay extra.. Also the Kiosk will be discounted for subscribers.. Not to mention, we will also have to wait and see what makes to the GTN.. Everyone is throwing a tizzy over nothing.. That is also a fact..
