State of the Game #3 Promise Not Delivered

To QQ about 2.1 being a foul when it hits the PTS. As of right now you know part of what of 2.1 is going to offer.

"Promise not delivered"? Way too early, way too trollish.

Are you guys seriously going to charge for even subscribers to play as a Cathar. And then based on the number of people who play as a Cathar, you will decide if actual wanted species will be playable down the line?

I stopped playing in the summer last year. Resubbed for a bit, even bought the expac. Stopped again till the expac came out and have resubbed again. But if literally everything in 2.1 including the new species is locked behind cartel coins, I really am done. When Makeb was first announced, it was not supposed to be paid for extra. Cathar wasn't.

I have no problem with modern F2P MMO's. Many of them are done well. You can subscribe and get all the benefits. but if after buying a CE, having an active subscription and buying the expac, if I'm expected to still pay more for a new species and an appearance customization feature which I can get in other MMO's without paying extra, I am seriously done. Call it trolling, call me unreasonable, whatever. This is just over the line.

In most MMOs you get new species with expansions that cost $40+, the ROTHC was $10 and didn't include a new race but you'll be able to use your free monthly coins to get the for no extra money or buy the unlock of the GTN. I don't see the issue.

To the OP, not only is this thread extremely premature I also don't see that they broke any "promises". I also way to point out how obnoxious it is that so many MMO players take anything the devs say as a promise. This is why they don't give us info about anything early. If there is stuff we haven't been told about 1.2 it's because it may not make it into the patch. If they announce something and it doesn't make it in time you'll be the first one complaining that they broke a "promise".

Ok...the OP has stated that there basing all this on current info which we all know will change to a certain degree once patch notes hit, so who knows what other QoL stuff will be introduced. So I'm gonna skip even talking about the OP since it really has no real bearing yet until patch notes are released.

What I am going to say is this..for the millionth time...as subs we all get a monthly stipend of CC's that is included in our $15 a month which allows us to save for things like "Cathar" and "Customization Kiosk", I'm tired of everyone complaining that they are charging us for these services when they're clearly not, well at least I'm not, I use my CC stipend to purchase these features without being charged any thing more then my original $15 a month. If you want to get technical it makes sense to use CC's instead of in game credits because if you didn't F2P would have access to these features without paying a dime seeing they can have a certain amount of credits without paying anything.

They're trying to restrict F2P from getting these features for free and using CC's is the best solution, seeing we all get enough in our monthly CC stipend to easily use these new features.

Seriously, I think it's time they give us something. Customization is a good start...but I didn't want to spend money on it. How about sitting in chairs, just to start. I wouldn't necessarily beg for chat bubbles but they'd be really cool to have. Lying in the currently useless beds on our ships? Please.

And I've edited the original post for the second time: Please stop talking about paying for Cathar. This is NOT that thread.I'm only going off memory, I saw that once here. And I was not saying you've really got anything - the opposite, in fact. There's a lot for you guys to really want for, like the other stuff you listed.

Then I'm confused as to what they haven't delivered, ignoring for the moment that nothing has been delivered at all yet, or even all announced. Customizing your character through appearance changes or dyes is considered a quality of life addition.

Let's wait for patch notes :/
