There is a definition of Pay 2 Win in the real world, and what you described is not it.
Wny are you so against admitting this is a pay 2 win cash shop? Just accept it. No idea why you need to defend biowares cash shop. It is what it is.

"winning" in MMOGs is typically defined as beating the final PvE content or beating the enemy in PvP.

Both can achieved without spending any money in the cartel shop and people who do spend money on the cartel shop will not make the slightest bit of additional damage in either PvE or PvP nor will they have any more hp nor will they heal faster, etc...

So why should anyone accept that the shop is pay to WIN ?

Surely, you can do a lot of nice things with credits, which you can get with the cartel market, but credits cannot buy you S&V-HM-completed or PvP-victory.

bad players can have the best gear bought through cartel or by being a sub, just because you buy gear with coins does not make you a fricken swtor superstar, idiots.

you have to wonder where all this money comes from these guys who do not work and seem to be on game all the time buying all these cartel items..

I understand most of us have jobs and can buy a pack from time to time but there is something fishy about this whole cartel system and i see down the line some issues.

quoted for narrow mindedness.

MMO's are played differently by everyone and everyone has different objectives. I will agree this cash shop isnt pay to win for every aspect of the game, like end game raiding or pvp., But some people dont play the game for those reasons or just for endgame.
Some players, like the original poster of this topic, are crafters. For them crafting is their game. And Biowares cash shop does allow a crafter to pay to win. Thats what I used the cash shop for. I was stuck and couldnt afford to level up my crafting. I ran out of credits. So rather than spend days and days grinding and gathering, I bought credits from the cash shop, bought all the mats I needed and leveled up my crafting. I won and paid to do it. In other games where you cant buy in game currency you cant do that.
same thing with players who play the game just for the story. they can buy every legacy perk, the best levelling gear, all they have to do is buy credits and never have to worry about money again. High costs of things in the game are there to present difficulty which you can pay to get past.

and you still missed the point you have plenty players with subs and have some of the top end gear and still can't pull their weight, f2p same issue.

And what it is not is P2W. P2W requires that there be an in game advantage that can solely be gained by someone paying cash. A slightly different looking speeder is not an advantage especially when they are sold for in game currency on the GTN.

Yes you funded crafting by spending cash, I have 450 in all the crew skills I use and I did it without spending any CC. Your paying did not allow you to win when compared to me because we ended up at the same point. If anything I won because I can spend my CC on long term items such as cargo bay unlocks.

Goodness, there must be thousands of players that have paid a guild to take them through HM TfB and HM S&V and let them win all the Grade 31 loot drops!

It would be silly to call this pay-to-not-grind, right? Right??
