Group with someone (maybe a tank). If you both interrupt his heals and use legacy-skills he's gone pretty quick.

I can only agree with those talking about vertigo and jumping. I honestly had a higher pulse rate through the last jumps than I did during the fight!

The last 2 quests were so much fun! Having read up on the last fight before the heroics, it was a breeze taking down the boss. On Ilum I quickly found people lfg for the heroic. Although we never found a tank willing to do the instance with us, we managed with 2 shadows and a sage after a couple of wipes.

I definatly wouldn't mind more challenging instances for solo play.
Good to hear OP. I didn't have much trouble with him, but I can see how it could be. With my Sentinel I have three interrupting abilities and was able to manage it but only because my dps is very good.

OK being too stubborn to quit despite my threats to do just that I found something out on my return. The last time I tried it before I went to bed I actually almost had him, probably will at 55. What changed? When I zoned in on previous attempts I had my comp out, this time I forgot and didnt summon the comp until after I zoned in. Suddenly this fight became MUCH easier.

I think it is glitched and is counting the comp as another player on zoning in therefore pumping the difficulty up a notch or two. I still think it could be toned down a bit, I feel for the classes that dont have a heal (there is no way a comp could have kept me up when I got aggro with my Legacy skills for a bit) and the "clothie" classes, but try zoning in without your comp and see if it helps.

The thing wrong with the "interrupt" method at least for me is that hi s heal casts so fast and I am so busy trying to keep me and my comp alive that I just cant hit it without risking lives. But I didnt need to interrupt it on my last attempt (when I zoned in without my comp). What would have made that attempt a win is if dummy me hadnt just cleaned up my ability bar and forgot where I put my "reduce aggro" spell and I couldnt take my eyes off the fight long enough to find it lol. Once he started pounding on me instead of my comp it was pretty much over. Anyway, yeah, interrupting is pretty difficult on this fight.

Well, consider yourselves lucky. I reached the last boss in this encounter (solo'ing it), Akris Veng and was standing on the platform sussing out the area. Np, bleed effect and interruptable heal, 50k hp's, throw another kipper in the pan I'll be home for breakfast. Then my group finder popped and I trundled off to do HM Hammer Station. Chose the 'return to previous' option at end of flashpoint.

So .. standing on the platform again with Akris Veng in my sights I notice a slight change. He now has 356,000 health points!! I throw caution to the wind and send Corso in .. who's dead in about 6 seconds with me not long after. Take 2 I call Gus in and kite Akris round the upper platform, Akris pounces on Gus (who's in 66/69 modded gear) and 2 shots him. I last a bit longer scampering round and get him down to around 80% before my luck runs out. Scampering around the upper platform with Risha pot shotting him didn't work any better.

I've tried resetting the local phases which at first it wouldn't let me do insisting I was still inside even though I returned to my ship, I had to travel all the way back to the fleet and go upstairs before it would let me reset! On heading back and jumping like a madman back to Akris .. 356,000 hp's!!.

No way am I abandoning in case I have to redo all the seeker droid stuff up to that point again. May try and bring a group in if I can get some guildies together who don't mind jumping through an instance to kill a pita boss for little return but for now open a ticket and hope for the best. :-(

I'm an a lvl 55 IA healer and can't kill this . He just heals too quickly, when I try by using my tank/HK51 companion Zero regenerates faster than they can damage him, and when I stop healing and attack we both get killed.

I tried to legacy attack him; I even got him down to half health but that increased my threat by thousands and my healer companion isn't up to the job unless I aid myself, then Zero just heals right back to full heal.

Are my tactics wrong or is there some bug with Zero that makes him heal too fast or is the group leveler bugged. Or is Zero just not designed with healers in mind.

maybe I got lucky, but one thing I didn't have trouble with, was Zero. did it at 55, sorc healer with Xalek as companion. Xalek in mix of campaign and collumi, me in mix of campaign, rakata and 2 basic pieces.
I didn't manage to interrupt nearly enough heals, but I stunned and dotted him patiently enough that I managed to kill him on a first try.

had more trouble with all the jumps in that place then actual killing of anything.

I generally tend to have easier time soloing on my operative healer, because she has more instant heals and AoE heal works nicely without me having to channel it or target it, so I can stay on thing I'm killing longer. just need to carefully stagger stuns and interrupts. (also - legacy abilities helped. a lot. may have made the difference in my case, I guess - had sticky grenade, force storm and orbital strike at that point)

Ive tried killing Zero with my Commando Medic & HK at level 55 - cant do it, I don't even get him down to half health.

This is not a group marked quest in the log - its way too difficult in my opinion. This guy is much tougher than any other gold star mob ive ever encountered in solo play.

Good old Bioware QA difficulty tuning again <sarcasm>.
The Force will be with you, always.

I'm pretty sure there is a bug happening where it thinks you're in a group. I did the same thing as the guy a few posts above where I went into a flashpoint in the middle of the quest, then found Veng to be a champion with a crap ton of health. I've done this fight previously and he was a pushover. So it's definitely not supposed to be like that. I'll have to try leaving, resetting, and trying again another time.
