So, while I enjoyed the storyline of the Sith Warrior, vastly, I also understand that every other max level Sith Warrior did the same things I did and earned the covetous position that's singular... just like me.

So, what's your complaint exactly? What did BW surgically remove from MMO's? /Random? /Readycheck? There's a lot of things that weren't in the game before the game was released because they obviously had to cut corners at some point. I don't agree with the stuff they rushed, but that's a different discussion and I don't believe they left things out against MMO standard practice except for mods, but they already explained they didn't like mods.

The story in the MMO was a nice little twist to the leveling experience. It's the only reason I enjoyed leveling so much... so much so that this is my first MMO where I have leveled 5 other toons to 50. I have never done that in any other MMO because the grind feels even harder with a wall of text that I won't take the time to read so I don't care about the lore and story.

Still... the endgame for ToR could use some improvement. S&M is sort of in the right direction, but they still have work to do and that's another discussion as well.
If you had experience in any MMO that isn't WoW, you would know how little "multiplayer" TOR has. An MMO where any player, playing any class, could level solo from 1-50 is an MMO in name only. A player could literally turn off their chat box at character creation and still easily play almost the entire game without ever even interacting with another human.

The story is fun and well done but it is pale imitation of what it would have been had this been made as a solo game.

So in essence, we have a watered down solo game shoe-horned into an MMO for the sole reason of selling subscriptions vs. the usual solo method of selling boxes and DLC. How did that plan work out for them again?

wait, so since I've soloed every game I have ever played from EQ to SWTOR, none of them are MMO's? I stand corrected.

if this game was a pure MMO without story, voice over etc,, all hardcore mmo guys complain, it would be dead by now and took its place in the history of 100 other games people played for 2 months and left.

Umm, the gameplay of this game is more influenced by WoW than by any other game.

If profitability and long term survival are measures of success then almost every MMO made as a multiplayer game have been successful.

Almost every game made as a clone of WoW's solo game clone of EQ have failed.

There were over 2 million subscribers of this game at launch. A few months later there were less than 500k. There were over 100 North American servers, now there are less than 10. It appears people don't want story-focused solo games either.

I'll take Misleading Thread Titles for $200, Alex.

I'm not trying to fanboy here, but the title of this thread is nonsense when taken in conjuntion with the actual OP's argument. They made more SWTOR. The OP feels that it is a failure because they gave us more SWTOR, instead of more KOTOR. I mean, okay, I guess. The MMO expansion did not make the MMO play like the single-player RPG that it already didn't play like.

Hell, while we're at it, let me explain how RotHC is a massive failure. It didn't transform SWTOR into TIE Fighter, a completely different game! I am surprised by this series of events, for reasons that are unclear! Also, I am shocked and alarmed to learn that MMO's are grindy! I somehow did not notice that in my first 50 levels. Bio-poop, FIX THIS NAO!!!11eleven

BW is no longer BW, it is EA, and that's why you don't see the epic win anymore.

Just being honest.

I disagree with you as well.

But like some other people have noted, thank you for stating that it is your opinion, unlike a bunch of the immature forum dwellers that like to state their criticism as fact

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Big facts that a lot of people over look, the Bioware that Brought us great games like Baldur's Gate and Kotor, went away the day the Doctor's signed the company over to EA, and once again EA did what they do best, ruin a good company, and drag it's name through the mud.. /sigh

and to the op I agee with about 90% of what you said, it is sad but true..
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

Correct!

Do you want to go for the big money round where the scores can really change?
That's why they call it space, cause there is so much of it.
