I disagree. I think double XP should be a legacy unlock for alts on the same faction.

Just go on spreading lies why don't you. I guarantee the hours played to hit max level in SWTOR is more than a lot of MMOs out there. I know for a fact Guild Wars 2 is faster to max level, and I imagine WoW is faster, especially with heirloom gear. Also, if you do the recruit-a-friend option in WoW I've seen people gain 50 levels in an evening.

What was your other absurd point? Oh yes--that this MMO is easy. Tell that to people I'm always helping with boss fights to progress their story. I'll give you that there games out there with more intense challenges both in lvleing and endgame, but few of them rely on linear progression. Can't kill Hogger in WoW? Drop the quest and move on to something else. Here, you're forced to overcome the boss to progress. Raiding in this game might not be as intense as some others, but I certainly wouldn't call it easy.

Maybe I'm more of a completionist and thus more overlevelled, but I never noticed any change in difficulty as the levels go up.

Higher level planets tend to be slightly harder to "complete" though as you are lucky if you find a dozen people on them with which to do any Heroics.

I was playing a newbie Sith last night. The speed of levelling is hilarious. Level 2 before I even entered the first tunnel to the first mission. Level 4 before I even saw the trainer in the temple. Talking to the trainer completed a quest, which again levelled me. No cash to even buy the powers for that level. Had it been my first exposure to the game, it would no longer be on my harddrive today.

Can't speak for GW2 or WoW as I've never played the first and only lasted about 15 minutes on the second.

TOR isn't just easy compared to every other MMO I've tried, it's nuclear-turbo-ecoboost easy. It's child-like easy compared to any Bioware solo game even.

IF the double XP Weekends come back I think it will be for one of these two reasons why:

1) It's a Cartel Market Consumable (aka. Cash cow)

2) It's MONTH's after Makeb has launched.

If you feel you're leveling too fast, skip all but class quests - after a planet or two, mob levels will catch up pretty quick.

If your complaint is that you are 'forced' to skip things due to graying out and thus missing out on something... you're not forced to skip a thing if the sidequests are that important to ya.

Complaints about 2x Exp weekends = proof that some people complain about anything & everything. Crying wolf over stupid crap like that makes it that much harder for the dev team to take genuine concerns seriously.

i dont know what others have said but I have found the 50s pvp bracket to be most annoying and i attribute that to all the fresh 50s due to the increased exp

A portion of the population being really bad at the game is not the same thing as the game being difficult. SWTOR is an absolute cakewalk from 1 to 50.

I disagree. The double XP weekends got me back into the game and playing. I wish they were a more common occurance. I gained some levels on a couple of alts i want to get up for RotHC. Repetitive leveling is a boring grind. Anyone that shorterns this grind has my full support. Definitly a plus.

yes. it was awful.

Giving away basically free 50s to people who dont know how to play them only leads to trouble for any and everyone who has the misfortune to play with them down the road.

I have already seen this multiple times with missions as easy as Black hole dailies, I imagine seeing them in real HM/OPs must be incredibly frustrating. If you go 1-50 in 2 days the chances of you knowing how to use half your buttons is minimal.
