It's a bad idea for your first 1-2 alts but not more.

I am thrilled with the double XP weekends. I have my first level 50 on my new account and though it was a tough grind i made it in time to do all the fun stuff now, the Gree event when it comes back, Makeb, the Rakghoul event when that comes back so thank you Bioware. This is one girl that really appreciated it.

Personally, the four double exp weekends in a row, kind of burned me out... I won't enjoy Makeb as much since I've spent four weekends in a row grinding new toons. It was a nice idea, but for no lifer's who abuse events like this, it burns you out real quick.

I also didn't get the hang or figure out the best way to level until about weekend number 3. Weekends 1 and 2 were all about the Gree Event and squeezing levels as you could before bolster got removed or before Gree event expired.
I didn't understand the true point of double exp until the 3rd weekend; rapidly advancing through story missions before your quests turned green.

Even before double exp and gree bolstered Illum, I already had 3 characters too overleveled to get any experience from class missions; they've been in fleet just doing daily pvp (zero tolerance) and daily flashpoint (Emerging Conflict)

Double EXP weekend as I later found out, was the perfect way to level and make sure my characters never ran into the same over-leveled for story problem. I could skip every side missions, only completing story mission and be in danger of overleveling
Yeah, i think this is where I fall on this. I grinded a Trooper from 15 to 50, and a Scoundrel from 1-41 over these four weeks. I'm not burned out but I am definitely looking forward to not worrying about these guys for a bit. It was really cool - and honestly save for this past weekend the weather outside generally sucked anyway.

I certainly won't be grinding on my main going into Makeb nearly as hard though on the weekends.

I loved double xp weekends and for me, as much as this makes me sound like a loser, I played a good 20 hrs over the course of the 3 days of double xp each weekend to take full advantage of it. The end result is now instead of just having a lvl 50 trooper and a few lvl 10-20 alts, I now have a lvl 50 commando, sentinel, jedi shadow, smuggler scoundrel, and a lvl 42 jedi sage. (I was in total leveling mode skipping story quests, skipping cutscenes, moving onto new planets as soon as I got one level ahead of recommended level range according to space map. Also if I want to, at some point I can go back and do the class story quests without interruption for leveling and can just enjoy it. (stopped doing them as soon as I got my ship) I also spent an extra ~$20 on xp potions so they ended up making more money from me aside from the normal subscription fee.

Anyway, now that it's over I have choices on which class I will focus on for the expansion. I think double xp weekends were a great idea and it brought a few of my friends back into the game. I think they should have 1 weekend per month used as double xp weekends, however it only effects lvl 1-50 and not expansion areas. It gives people a chance to work on classes that they may not have otherwise tried or leveled, which ultimately creates more enjoyment for people.

The game just flows so much better with the boosted XP rates. You don't lose track of your class story under an avalanche of side quests.

I love the double XP weekend. I'd like to see it continue in some form. Perhaps they could make it a part of the legacy unlock system. If you reach legacy 20 or so, you could unlock a character perk of double xp weekends. Make it a cartel unlock too so BW can get their cut.

For me, I'm not interested in trying to make the game as *********** hard as possible. I don't find that enjoyable at all, and I'm sure there are many like me. But there are those that love the challenge. That's why it should be a choice. Make it a legacy perk.

I do have to admit one major downside to double xp. Your outleveling of content means that you can't buy armor mods with your comindation points because the equipment you can get is several levels below where you are. You end up blowing a fortune on the GTN getting mods for your current level.

I enjoyed them immensely; the most fun I've had in this game. I hope there are more in the future. (Probably not until the expansion, though.)

If you are the type that enjoys leveling in line with planetary quests, there's really no reason to complain: the x2 xp weekends are over and things are back to normal. (There were only 4 of them to begin with.)

I've found that it kind of ruined flashpoints, at least for a little while.
People level up so quickly that they haven't learned their classes properly so completing higher level flashpoints has been tough, but it also made it more fun at the same time, so not too bad.

I do love the double XP, I only play for the class stories, I'm getting sick of running the same planet side quests, so its been more enjoyable.

I don't see anything wrong with double XP. I am more into the story then leveling. I would like to see a double XP day, one day per week and the day varies each week and also once a month throw in a random double XP weekend. I have a few friends that missed the double XP, because they work every weekend and having a double XP during the week would have been nice for them.
