Those change can be good, or not, honestly i think they key of change for this game can be only with a world PvP system withe like a planetary control.
There are plenty of ideas on the forum, and after more than year we are still running around warzone.
Warzone are fun for 1 hour, but for ppl who dont care about pve like me, and want just to nuke other ppl conquering other planet those are ********.
At least on the PvP Server, at this state of the game having a new warzone every 6 month is ridicolous, find a way to create a world PvP this is Star Wars, not Warzone wars......
In every interview you guys say that Devs listem, you dont listen, or well listen only what you want to listen, thats is a problem for the future of the game, try to change cuz a lot of ppl are waiting to come back in the game if a open world PvP open.

Cheers

great for bolstering still multi stuns from the over deved scoundrel/agent class and the shield barriers that restrict melee from closing distance, enhanced speed of movement for enhanced time on agent. when will pve become as viable for top gear.... probably never. pvp in star wars will continue to suck. why play a Jedi or sith they are pansies in pvp. word to any wanting to play force user stick with consular or sorceror class stance is everything since the armors mitigation is nearly worthless.

On Bolster:

The proposed changes look to be a good way to break from the hard-line effect of the current system and seems to be keeping players who don't have the time to grind out super gear in mind. And since warzone pvp is a team activity I think this is a step in the right direction. It will need some tweaking of course, but as mentioned basing the bolster stat to the item ratings of equipped gear will provide the means to fine tune a bit more.

Can this system be gamed by switching gear after loading into a WZ? Also, hard-capping the Expertise is an interesting move toward balance; and a fair one at that. I cringe at the idea of "balance" as its usually presented. But this balance is actually going to advance the importance of playing with skill, which is a very welcome change.

On Brackets:

meh - it doesn't really matter to me. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out. WZ play is so much about the players you happen to zone with when playing in a pug. Being grouped with good players makes a huge difference regardless of level, bolster, balance, etc. And by extension, being in a guild with good players to group with brings a lot of fun with it. I don't see how anyone can expect to be regularly successful in WZs without utilizing Vent or Team Speak (or the like).

On whining and complaining:

Its understandable to be frustrated, but in contrast there are so many people that are having a blast with this game. Yeah getting chain-stunned sucks, but you can do it too! These classes are already so similar to each other that there is very little that "they" do to you that you can't do right back. And when the cry for balance is raised, bring some measure of constructiveness to it. Those that do, and have done so even in this thread, earn much more respect for themselves.

I'm glad that BioWare doesn't cave to the loud clamor for "balance". For sports fans reading this, can you imagine the NFL/NBA/MLB evenly distributing talent throughout the league based on stats and spreadsheets? How fun would rooting for your team be? This is a strawman, I know... but when you cry for balance without actually having a full understanding of the current balance system you're asking for a change that would actually interrupt your own fun in the end: You have the power and the means to use the current system more effectively. You can be a better player right now! The current pvp system, even with it's stuns, roots, snares, powerful smashers, and turret-healers, provides a complex and provocative game experience with flexibility. (Have you ever read a thread like this one? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=390716 )

Truth is, if you are not performing to your own expectations, analyze your current methods and then analyze your expectations.

I am sorry but lvl 55 pvpwill still suck as long as expertise is in place... i wonder how much more time the devs will need to figure that expertise kill the pvp and new player that want to try it at highest lvl.

Expertise is great. So if i don't pve and don't do operations i have to suck in pvp? You must be joking.

The one thing I got from that is that Expertise is now king. Where before you could get away with expertise around 1300, now you'll have to max it out above all else.

"the first point is as effective as the last"

Correct me if I'm wrong?

Also - what is the point in working towards more gear if the worse crap you wear the more you get bolstered?

We are also looking at tweaking current Warzones (Alderaan Civil War for example) and working on some brand new systems!
I like the sound of this.
