There's no advantage to being Lvl 51 before anyone else. In PvP, both 50 and 51 get bolstered to the same level.

I think OP is one of the people that don't have much experience with mmo's before SWTOR, just a hunch since its been a given since forever that a new expansion of levels in any mmo has people theorycrafting ways to get to max level again in the fastest way possible. Just google "wow athene world first" for a number of prime examples.

The thing is, what does it do to your experience in the long run? Unless you are desperate to get there a few hours early yourself how is this effecting you? Because even on a pvp realm its not going to cause any changes. There WILL be campers regardless. So what does complaining about this mean to you? How has it ruined your experience in any way?

Sarcasm or Hypocrisy?

Have you realized yet that the issue with the Ilum Exploit wasn't the fact that people were able to gain levels quickly, but that low level players were playing high level content in order to avoid large portions of the game?

There are loads of ways to gain levels quickly. There are zero ways to do high level content with low level characters. There was one. It was fixed. Can you guess which planet it was on?
I think I am a bit slow on this. Help me break this down.. PLEASE.

Tues is the start of the new weekly. with you so far ...

I complete the weekly on Wed. How is holding that and turning it in at the last possible moment helpful? I complete it on wed and turn it in on wed... wouldn't matter if i turned it in on mon. right? I cant pick up another weekly until tues.

sorry, i dont follow what you are saying. because the daily doesn't have anything to do with the weekly .. if you dont turn in the daily, um daily, you lose it (meaning if you pick up a daily on tues and complete it on tues but dont turn it in until wed.. you cant pick up the daily for wed)

As far as ilum goes.. the devs said it was not an exploit. so how do you expect me to understand your point when you dont even know what you are taking about. have you realized that?

the point was -- the devs said that they were leveling in ways not intended .. which is why i am asking about this.

nothing more. nothing less.
Just a FYI -- I will more than likely not respond back to the message this is attached to. Because, quite frankly, I said what I had to say and I really don't care beyond that. Have a nice day .. =)

Weekly is the same mechanic wise as daily, only a longer time period.

Anyway, with the weekly, you complete the weekly this week. It rewards whatever the current rewards are (BH comms, etc). But you save it for next week, and turn it in after 2.0... which gives you the NEW rewards, since the old comms are now replaced with the new ones.

So you can get a jump on getting a few extra new comms. And the devs actually suggest doing this. Does it give the player an advantage? Not really. But the same mechanic applies to it as does the dailies.
On the Internet, you can be anything you want. It is strange so many people choose to be stupid.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? He said delaying until Tuesday, which means after 2.0.

Once 2.0 is released those dailies/weeklies that you did not turn in before will give you different commendations than they do currently, those comms can be used to buy the new level 50 commendation gear.

If all quests no longer gave XP on Tuesday, and the idea was to only grind mobs, PvP or Ops XP, you might have a point...but as far as I know, even on Tuesday, all quests will still award XP...right? So...how exactly is leveling via quest XP "not intended" in your mind? Because they're banked? Because players waited? Truthfully, why the hell do you really care how/when someone else reaches 51?

dope...

i will end my replies to this thread with you. i think your name is befitting.

most, including you have not read through this (which is my hope for you otherwise you have an issue with comprehension) thread .. but just want to jump in with "i'm funny and can be witty" remarks.

i do not care how folks level ... i do not care how folks get their credits ...

force choke your companion while spamming print screen and instantly hit level 50. i dont care. it doesn't bother me.

my whooooooole point in this thread is to get someone with yellow text powers to chime in on the difference between level 50's holding 25 xp boosted level 50 quests jumping ahead of others (in effect power leveling) vs what happened and how they handled it on ilum with lowbies (in effect power leveling).

I understand a lot... and I mean aaaaa loooot of folks missed the point but i expect that in today's medicated people.. i just thought that medicine was suppose to help focus, not detract .. but i digress...

have a great day!!

=D

and yes.. this is it ... i have been brought down and beaten with experience. plus.. I got other things to do =D

This thread is a joke? Right? Many people have mentioned this before, it's standard practice for online games with a leveling system. When an expansion is on the horizon, it's fun to prepare for the eventual day. Why you would want to invalidate someone's efforts in being ready for something because you don't feel like doing it yourself.

If a player has a lack of initiative and ambition, that's their problem, not any body else's. So, for the op to write a long winded post, trying to throw the cuffs on players who are eager to experience the content before the mass of "half paced", is just inconsiderate and rude.

Why would I have all 25 quest slots filled with completed quests?
  • not be stuck waiting for an objective while X number of players are also waiting
  • general chat is only filled with requests for heroic assistance
  • great players who aren't lazy or selfish and are fully prepared for the challenges ahead
  • finish the planet quests and start the dailies + HM runs
  • get a head start on my gearing runs to prepare for the next level of operations
  • focus on farming mats for my crafting skills

TL;DR

Just get prepared and stop trying to hold other people back because you don't want anyone getting ahead of you. It took you five minutes to write an equally silly request when it could have taken you ten to complete all of the ilum dailies.
