Vote for Legacy "straight-to-50" option

Vote: Absoultely no.

I have level 50 legacy... and I still roll new chars. Leveling is fun for me, not end game. Leveling new alts IS my end game. Though for each 50 you have it would be cool for a passive XP booster that stacks with legacy unlocks and cartel consumables. Or for every level of legacy you get a % boost? Or every 5 or 10? There is plenty of ways they could improve without making insta-50.

For someone who says you support neither end of the opinion of the matter, you sure break down into baseless big-mouthed criticism awfully quickly. Not only did you misquote what was posted, you used a criticizing description so severe in contrast to what you were responding to, you obviously gave no intelligent consideration to the issue whatsoever.

To help illuminate how unlikable the situation after direct-to-50 went live could become, let's talk probability.

How probable is it now, for a person in an Op to be someone with lowbie equipment? I would say maybe 4% ... which means every other Ops group there's 1 person with lowbie Tionese-or-less equipment. Which is perfectly tolerable, in fact not even noticeable for the most part.

HOWEVER, how probable would an Ops member with lowbie equipment be, if people could shove their new character to level 50 same day they created it? Well it could easily increase 10-fold or more, with 50% of the people in Ops groups being newly-created level-50's less than 3 weeks old, who have the majority of their equipment slots to fill, and will be Needing on items far more often as a result. Even their off-spec items they're likely to Need on, since their equipment will be such garbage in comparison. NOT ONLY would there be a massive equipment-vacuum that would deprive players of needed equipment more often than natural, but Ops PuGs would begin to fail miserably more often, because of the highly increased level of people with lowbie equipment.

How does that change things for the average legitimate level-50 character, who has many Columi pieces, and a few Rakata, and needs to polish off with just 2 or 3 more pieces of Columi before moving on to Rakata/BH? Drastically worse. I shouldn't have to go into detail for this to be understood to be a potentially complete catastrophe, and an effect that could be sustained in fact, since a very large group of people might become infatuated with creating their maximum # of characters, then trying to equip them ASAP with high-level Ops equipment, and even re-rolling those characters far more often since the investment is so minute. Likely it is, that the solution for this problem will be suggested: "just stay away from PUGs then", and thusly begins the concession to allow the game environment to be catastrophically rotted with fickle, un-inspired and un-invested characters.
Boring conversation anyway.
Think twice. . . Think again.

For me, definite NO. I prefer the levelling up. Level 50 is boring for those that don't have time to raid.

The minimum requirements for access to this option would be:
  • You must be Legacy level 50 (maybe lower, like 30 or 40?).
  • You must have chosen your Advanced Class.

Vote for or against this here so we'll see what the general concensus is.

NOTE: As OP I will not vote either way.
I vote... absolutely not. You want to skip the majority of the game? Why?

Because leveling 1 to 50 is the only thing to do in this game. Right. That makes sense.

God you people are averse to thinking.

against...there shouldnt be an instant 50 button you might as well just pay some chinese farmer to do it... or just dont play at all cause thats what you are asking. Leveling is the key to learning the class and how to effectively play your character, the only advice I can say to you is just buy an account cause thats pretty much what you want anyways...the work done for you
