They also love to claim how many people don't care about storyline or content and just want to play endgame constantly over and over again to have the best items. Which to me sounds pretty damn boring. <Shrug>

Thank god game developers know better and know that there is just as large a majority of people who like storyline and content and appreciate things that are done in the game to make the trip TO the level cap more fun, even if your doing it for the nth time. There are at least 8 different stories to follow here getting to 50, and if you add in gender differences that do make alot of the stories go differently you can call that 16. Well way to go there endgamers, you just spit in the face of about half the developers of the game and told them what they did was garbage and useless. Feel good about yourselves now.
This would be a stronger point if not for for the fact that the whole issue came up as result of 'Double XP Weekends', which were introduced with the specific, and publicly stated goal of getting players quickly to lvl 50 in preparation for the expansion. If the Ilum Boost was 'exploitable' in the normal course of the game the outcry would make sense, but as is they're basically saying, "Here we want to get people to 50 as quickly as possible so they can enjoy the expansion! Hey wait a minute, why are people getting to 50 so fast? This is never what we intended!"

It's doubly hilarious given that the "power leveling" depends on another in game event that itself only runs for a limited time.

You're trolling us right? Only a tiny handful of people would stick around an MMO if all it had was end-game. Check the stats on what people actually do and you'll find that only 10% do more than dabble in raiding or ranked warzones.

Blame EA. If they intended people to be able to skip 95% of the game, they would keep double XP at all times and would not have acted on reports of leveling exploits. Obviously, that's not what they intend.

I don't care if people skip straight to level 50. I just don't want to hear them whine about being bored and having nothing to do afterwards. Because hey, most of the game content was back thataway <----.

Most of the unchallenging, dull content.
At least make pseudo-hardmode option for sub 50 players who are looking for a challenge rather than the tedium involved with leveling their tenth toon. Leveling is a time-suck feature that partly supports subscription models. Story value or not, imo sub 50 is not as enjoyable to play as post 50., and due to the little skill you need to grind in this game, leveling doesnt show significant accomplishment other than time invested, thus should not be considered a rite of passage.
It's not whining. Stop expecting people to be like you, give them options.

You can make your own hardmode sub-50. Wear less gear or take quests above your level. Combine both for nightmare mode

Very easily. When they stated that they were not going to take action against the accounts of those who used this "unintended game mechanic" last weekend, they also stated very clearly that it was not working as intended and they planned to fix it. Once that statement was made, and it was made clear that it was not working as intended, then continuing to use an unintended game mechanic ( or bug) in order to gain an unfair advantage in game, clearly falls under the definition of exploit, and is therefore subject to sanction according to the TOS which each and every player signed. .

It would all come down to WHEN you used this unintended game mechanic or bug in order to gain an unfair advantage in game. Did you do it BEFORE the devs made it clear that it was not working as intended or AFTER they did. Timing can make all the difference in the world.

I'm not trolling.

I'd rather have PvP and do Ranked at endgame. It's all I dabble on, and it totally gives me the feeling of feeling "heroic". Rather do all that than grind the boring leveling quests.

Not unfair if equally available.

I leveled my first toon doing PvE questing. I had fun, but hated the fact that the world around me felt dead and I rarely ran into anyone while questing. Second time, when I transferred to The Fatman in February, I stopped around the time I got to Tatooine because it got soooo boring. That's when I learned I loved PvP way more, but I eventually got my 2nd character to 50.

To me, PvP will always be better than PvE. So I'd rather have an auto-50 button so I can grind the hell out of Warzone with my arsenal of characters.
