Got multiple characters on one server.. fine. Keep some money on each.

As for complaining about gearing and such for so many characters.... really? Gear is dirt cheap in this game with the advent of cartel pack boxed gear going for cheap in most cases. You don't need to be moving all your money around everytime you login. Keep a couple hundred K credits on each character and the rest on a GTN mule. Use the mule to do all gear gathering and shopping for other characters. Mods are where the cost is and frankly.... level up crafting on a couple characters to cover your basic mod needs and gathering on all the rest and you are good to go. Rocket science this is not.
Just because it's easy for you, doesn't make it easy for me. I ONLY PvP until I run out of credits and either find the motivation to do a dailly or two, or level another toon.
I've already said like 3 times that I often forget to keep credits behind, replying with "keep credits on each character" is hardly something I haven't though about. At most times I've got about 200k total across all my chars.

Option 1: Take the shuttle back to your starter planet. Kill a bunch of mobs, sell their loot -> money for the bus
Option 2: Run into Black Talon or Esseles, which ever is applicable to your faction, kill all the mobs untill the first boss -> money for the bus

You really have to insist on being stupid to get stranded about anywhere. Like, taking a flight to Ilum as a lvl 15, buying as many medpacks as possible from the vendor, and then deleting every piece of inventory and equipment kind of stupid. Though that wouldn't matter for subscribers, they can simply use their fleetpass.

That was kinda the same thing I was thinking about too. But not so much fleet as much like Nar Shaddaa or the other planets.

As it is I've seen people ask how to get off of planets like Nar Shaddaa so I wouldn't pit it past them to do it. They apparently can't figure out to go to the same place they can from in the Space Port.

The cost is so little it barely has any affect, and I don't think anybody has ever ran out of money due to travelling. It's extremely frustrating when I transfer my credits to another toon and forget to keep some credits back, then I try to travel and I cannot due to the aggravating fuel costs.

I'm not asking for a cost increase, but the travel costs are so low they aren't even worth having. Hell, even adding an option to pay some credits for a faster load (probably not possible but hey) would be reasonable.

Just my 2 cents.
merrrrrr
I've always wondered why it costs about 50 credits to travel 20k parsecs from one system to another. (which 1 parsec equal about 19 trillion miles. So 20k parsecs is....wow that's a long way for only 50 credits) But yet on some planets like Voss for example, it will cost you 1,000-1500 credits to travel about a thousand meters to another camp. I'm in the wrong business. I need to open a taxi stand.
May you never wake up with a rabid hamster playing a tiny drumset in the corner of your room. But if you do, then you'd better get a guitar because that, my friend, is one jam session you don't want to miss out on.

. Seriously though, why the fuel cost? It's not like adding a fuel cost makes the game more 'realistic.' I think it's just an annoying incovenience.

Off topic, but how do you get 18 toons on the same server? I thought the cap was 12 per server for subs?
IMPS: Lurrch, Stretchie, Sornada, Larrgo, Largeone, Hotblackchick,
Bigoli, Kashava, Cattch, and Autdad, server Shadowlands
PUBS: Rebrac, Shandral, Quarrol, Goldeyes, Dater, server Shadowlands
Server Harbinger: Sharandra

You increase the cap with a cartel market item, server character slot or something. It adds 1 slot to every server. Not sure what the max is but 18 should easily be possible.

When leveling my first toon, I never got stuck on fleet, but sometimes I did have to do a little hunting to pick up gas money (right after training, I think). It's really not that complicated. It's a small fee and easily gained.

Someone mentioned taxi cost. Yes, it's much worse than space travel. I used to run across the map so that I wouldn't waste credits on taxi service (this was back at low levels).

Here's an in-universe reason for the discrepancy. Empire and Republic subsidize your space travel. You pay the taxes, but they pick up the actual cost of fuel. No such luck with the taxi service... walking is good enough, you wanna fly you're on your own!

Max is 22 I believe(excluding people who had more characters than that merged to a single server).
