I agree that game was so awesome pre NGE

Doing something no other game has yet to do? I dare challenge that claim. But even easier to challenge is the claim that a nearly 10 year old game having done things no game has done yet does not make them ahead of their time.. It makes them the ones who made wrong decisions.
Why do you think nobody else does those things anymore? Because they were so good? In the words of Spock: That's illogical Captain.

I am going to ignore the rest of your splerg about space as you are yet again showing a dogged determination to tail wag for those with little or no real interest in the IP
Thanks for making his point for him.
You basicly admit: There is 1 series of books and several details about bigger battles that concern space. There are still no things you need a freeroaming space game for to recreate though.

And you are so very.. very funny.. The man claims you only do personal attacks because your own point isn't strong enough and you think you refute his point by saying:

Bottom line you are either limited in your understanding of the IP/EU or you are just another shilltroll for EAware.
edit ... oh wait ... are you telling me SWTOR is set within the movies ... oh WOW
I begin to understand why the SWG forums were so much filled with hate and bile. If this is the level of adult conversation that could be had there. Let me be frank with you here: you, are not cool because you think you know much about Star Wars. You are the definition of a self righteous fool, completely blinded to actual facts by your own arrogance and inability to think outside your own ideas.
I feel sorry for you that you are this way, and I do hope you will find some form of calmth and peace some time in the future and understand how misguided your attempts are right now.

Wow fans wanted swtor to be something it wasn't and got it (still getting it), so why not swg?

I think every person against the implementation of swg elements in here are afraid if there's enough threads/posts on it, BW will do it....you know like the sorc nerf threads that sadly turned the class into a free kill in pvp.
WHAT??? NO FAMBAAS????

No, no, no, according to Daniel Erikson it's not iconic enough to dick around in space. This from a guy who also likes to walk to every location s l o w l y ... alone, in epic and iconic fashion. I wonder why he got the boot... and took another walk.

By definition being ahead of its time means doing things before others. If it did stuff nobody else did since it wasn't ahead of it's time, it was the appendix or a terminal node of an evolutionary tree.

I also find it hilarious that people assume a free roam space game is somehow gonna be incredibly popular with gamers at large and SWTOR players, when flightsims are about as niche as you get. Majority of people don't do this rail stuff cos it's too hard as is, you think they're gonna put up with the learning curve of dog fighting lol?

...And by that definition we should be still playing Pong, and only Pong. No need to develope things further. Niche things, right?

People should go play eve if they want a space mmo, but no people want a starwars space mmo. That's why I mention in a earlier thread that people who want a sandbox or space like swg are more starwars fans than mmo gamers. Now let this annoying thread die. I hope no starwars mmorpg like swg is ever made just to spite people who want a swg mmorpg. Yes, I'm being mean.
