twelveoffifteen jagrevi

Wow, what an entertaining and self affirming read! I applaud Jagrevi for her logic, reason, and impartial observations. For posterity, I submit an infamous event where the validity of it's official explanation was presented with similar voracity and style as Twelveoffifteen presented his argument here:

Some religious men from caves half a world away infiltrated our country and multiple commercial airliners, evaded multi-billion dollar sensors and monitoring systems, performed statistically impossible flight maneuvers over protected hardened military and government buildings, caused three skyscrapers to collapse within their own footprints at near free fall speed after igniting fires at the building's summits and without eliminating their structural bases for the first three times in history, inexplicably evaporating flight grade aluminum aircraft structural frames and engines with burning jet fuel, and managed to leave the shred of a trail in the form of an undamaged passport ejected through a fireball and exploded debris down over 100 stories to be found blocks away.

Prove the validity of this report wrong. It's obviously the only explanation because it was reported in the news for over a decade and I am repeating it here again, on the internet.

but that NEVER happens in the media ESPECIALLY in gaming, and is SOOOOO unlkely... it must be some EA conspiracy to hide the truth that you will have to pay $10 everytime you push the x button

"gamers" really need to pull their heads out of their asses once in awhile
Riiiiight. Tell that to all the people in Sim City. EA saying everything is .. OK when the servers were unplayable and origins wouldn't let people down load it. No one was in the game. Not a one. And EA said everything was operating as intended and everything is fine. Then the retraction ... after everyone knew better. It's par for the course for EA to always lie to save face.

Contrast this to Blizzard saying "Yup D3 is a POS we screwed up" and fixed things.

That hasn't happened yet that I can tell ^

The fixed part anyway.
D3 is a POS, that part is spot on. The biggest money grab since gambling was invented.

Spoiler

Yes its kinda an old thread but I saw this pop up today on Tweakers (a renowned techsite) and decided to bump the thread.
Tweakers is the #1 news source for tech, software etc. In these matters much more trustworthy and less biased than De Telegraaf
I'll take Gizmodo over that site any day of the week.

Let's step back a bit. Questions:

2) Is there any way to create that crystal in the game without paying money to EA?.
I'm a subscriber. I have a security key. I get free coins every month. Those coins buy boxes. Those boxes can have crystals.

I'm a subscriber, so I'm p2w?

Your logic has failed. Too much THC.

*buzzer sound*

Failed.

The point was "is the item available IN GAME" and not for "$$" in any form. Cherry picking to "seem" right does not make one so.

The article even started with it.

The article is labelled:

PAY_TO_WIN_IN_ALL_EA-GAMES

Nuff said me thinks!
Yeah, nuff said. A Dutch journalist misinterprets what EA said, writes it down and publishes it to the web and that makes it absolute fact.

No offense, but you're a moron if you believe that.

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.

Soon, you can roll your eyes at the next game you buy, and quit.

I can see they've pulled the wool over your eyes WRT p2w, too. That's not unexpected. The suits at EA are pretty freaking adept at separating gamers from their money. That's why they're big enough to afford to buy up respected names like BioWare, grind them into fertilizer, then move on to the next one.

They're insanely smart for making everything that comes out of the cash shop available to post on GTN and giving subscribers a monthly stipend of coins. It doesn't just blur the p2w line; it completely obfuscates it. For most, anyway.

Kudos to the EA suits for a brilliant f2p2w implementation!

EDIT: Clarification: PEOPLE aren't P2W, so YOU are not P2W. ITEMS can be P2W. Any item that gives an ingame advantage that is created only as the result of a real-world cash transaction is P2W. In this game, that would be the +41 crystals and the G7 starship upgrades. So far.

I'll give you guys the greatest solution..don't buy EA games. Plenty out there, that are just as good, or yet better. Problem solve, when I game requires me to pay for it, and on top of that pay for more, i'll move onto the next best thing, regardless if I have the money.
