Except regular updates of unique equipment sold from the Collector's Edition vendor was promised/marketed as a feature from the very moment it was announced. If someone blames BioWare for actually attempting to keep their promises, that's just nonsense.

Honestly, as others have said, I am thrilled that they're talking about updating the CE, but I'd rather them not update it at all than to give open access to it. Like I said, everyone had ample time to purchase it, and even if the existing rewards are kind of crap, at least it's something. To give open access to what little we actually did get would essentially be saying that our investment was completely without value.

Anyways, like another poster said, the game has obviously changed direction, and it's for that reason that I can sort of forgive them for not following through on the "regular updates" portion of the CE-vendor. I'd still like to see something unique added Republic-side, but beyond that, I certainly don't expect much. I mean, like I said, I'll certainly *welcome* new content, with open arms! I just don't feel like it's owed to me or anything.

That said, now that the game is finally starting to get some legs again, it's great to see BioWare/EA actually looking to fulfill that original promise of updating the vendor. Assuming they follow-through with it, that would definitely restore a lot of my good faith.

I have a CE. I've used the CE vendor. I don't care if they are taking their time adding new things to it, I really could not care less. I don't care if people resent CE owners. But I can understand if people are getting annoyed by CE owners constantly complaining about such a minor thing as the CE vendor.

The main reason I didn't buy the CE edition (aside from the fact that 149.9$ is a lot of money for me that I would rather spend it on basic necessities like food) was all that superfluous junk that came with the box that I didn't want. I definitely don't want to pay for a SW history booklet (when the transcripts can be read on Wookipedia) or a plastic Malgus statue.

But yeah I think allowing people access to the CE vendor for Cartel Coins would be a sound idea. Then people like me, who didn't want to spend money on the physical extras, would be able to generate revenue for Bioware by paying a moderate amount of money to gain access to the virtual benefits of the CE edition.
That would be a terrible idea, in my opinion. If you want access to the CE vendor, purchase a CE.

Well, you might not've had the finances then, but let's say you win a lottery and have plenty money just before they release the next game. Would you even bother shelling out $150, if past experience showed that whatever "exclusive" is in that box will be sold for $10 later? No, ofcourse not, and nobody would. It'd only make people beg Bioware to pull the date for the big pricedrop forward.

I'm genuinely interested to hear why you feel that way?

Is it because of the nice limited edition statue thats probably worth £50 on it's own? Or perhaps the collection of items such as the exclusive music CD or the nicely illustrated and professional looking book detailing lots of lore and character history?

How exactly was it akin to throwing that money in the toilet and taking a dump on it. about the same value?

It's almost as if you had no idea exactly what items were included within the CE pack when you bought it?

Guess you were the minority who didn't buy the CE due to the emphasis on the promosie of a regularly updated vendor?

I don't see people doing this either but I do know people try and be funny and say how much it sucks etc. That stuff I don't care because money is no issue for me and I wanted the CE. I didn't get the CE for the in-game stuff because it usually is just fluff and stuff that gets old fast, but I got it for all the other things it came with and I love Star Wars so I wanted to get it and the cool box it came in too. So for me it was well worth it. Those who got it just for the fluff and CE vendor and are upset now, well I have no pity for them because no way I would spend that much for vendor stuff. I would have bet $$$$$$$$ the vendor stuff would have been lame in the first place.

F2P changed every thing. CE owners have to accept the fact that the game changed. Its not the game you bought that CE for now. You say those that whine about not getting into the CE vendor need to accept you can they cant. Ok by me. But CE owners need to accept that the game changed and their vendor is no better than any other now.
Don't click on any thread that talks about CE then. Jobs a good un.

Would you mind awfully providing me with:

Exact numbers of how many Collectors edition were sold
Scientific polling showing exactly what percentage of those bought it on the promise of a regularly updated vendor

To back your assertions please.
