I don't know if "fun" is the word I would use for most of them.

Every hardcore guild will want you to have all datacrons found if you want to think about raiding / pvping with them.

Well, guilds wanting me to have them doesn't matter much to me, but for the efforts of fun an "why not" I may as well continue :-)

I suppose sitting there at the jawa balloon twice now just got me thinking if it's worth it in the end.

Thanks for the advice all :-)

^This.

Everyone in guild has to have at least the +10 Fleet datacron on their main raiding toons.

Entertaining? lol. Are you sure you don't mean aggravating?

LOL... yeah.. I agree with you. Personally, I avoid them for the most part. The only ones I have ever collected was if I literally tripped over them while playing OR it was a guild event to gather one or more of them.

But I admire and respect the "completionists" and "collectors" in MMOs. It's not for me, but if it's fun for them....then kudos for them finding what's fun for them.
When you find yourself surrounded by hostile Clowns... always go for the "Juggler" first.

my OCD/collector side won't let me leave a planet w/o getting all available datacrons.

There's a box in front of the building that the datacron is located, simply get a Jug to force push you up to the top of the building.

Balloon ride? We just have a Jug and sorc go out to the sand crawler, jug force pushes the sorc up on top and then the sorc pulls everyone else up.

Thinking of creative ways of getting to datacrons, makes for some fun times.

Before they fixed the opening in the doorway of the Castle on Alderran, we figured out a way to get the large framed players to the top, by climbing onto one ot the statues and jumping, while a sorc up top pulled them. Then there's the +10 Datacron now that was a fun one to figure out shortcuts on.

The platform jumping thing is easily the most frustrating, because of the poor and inaccurate air control and jump mechanics. I wish those could be improved - after we have finally gotten chat bubbles implemented, of course.

Fun to do once, perhaps. Doing them across all my 50's though is an exercise in pain that should not need to be repeated.
