As I am sure that a great company, as EA is, has a lot of respect for theire european comunity and paying customers, the only explanation for this drastical step, I can think of, is that they are running out of money and will not be able to hold TOR much longer.

As this probably means "Makeb" will never get released, I want to ask how I will get the money back, I paid for it.
What a troll as well as a very common comment for an unexperienced person in any and all fields.

Two people leaving Bioware, where the OP refers to, whom are one german guy from german speaking community and one french guy from french speaking community, DOES not mean ANYTHING.

Well it actually means that the game WILL NOT be effected in ANY WAY.

Claim anything else and you have no clue.

Let's not forget that this is a business. What do good businesses do when things are not going as expected? They adapt, or they fail. EA adapted and changed to F2P while still offering subs, and as you even agreed to above, the game is now thriving again and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future as a result. That seems like a good business decision to me. For us as customers, this allows us to continue to play their game.

If the game is strong and thriving with more revenue and activity than ever, how (as you also stated above) is it a failure?

Also, let's please stop with the "expected to be a WoW-Killer" talk. That was never the expectation and Bioware/EA never pitched it as such.
"Thriving" is a gigantic leap.

Facts are there are way less people playing now than several months after launch, and likely half of those are paying nothing and thus count for nothing. We have less than 10% of the servers we launched with, and even if those servers are holding 2 or 3 times the players of the peaks pre- "super servers" had, we're still talking roughly somewhere around 20-30% of what we had at launch.

Thriving we are not. Treading water we are, and the sharks are circling.

Tor never had over 200 servers, even after the mass server increase a little while after launch.

Would you consider WoW to be treading water? Financially EA is doing better than Activision so I don't thin SWTOR is doing nearly as bad as you seem to exaggerate.

It had over 100 NA servers. It now has 7(?)

Only ones I play on are RP servers. One is lucky to have half the players the other does. On both servers world populations vary from well-populated (newbie worlds) to near deserted (any 30+ world).

The game still has its one enormous flaw... It makes a great first impression but can't retain interest at all because nothing in gameplay changes as you level.

No one said 200. She said we have 10% of the servers we had after launch.

This game is a massive failure and only fan boy goggles get around this simple fact.

We have 20 servers currently. If we're at 10%, then we had 200 after launch.

U.S. Servers.

How about you stop splitting hairs in an attempt to avoid the obvious: This game cratered.

Are you kidding? Did you not take basic math? There are currently 20 servers which is 10% of 200.
