Turn off "Ability Action Queue Window" - under: Preferences: Controls: Combat.

Problem solved.

The default of .5 is horrible, I don't know why that is the default. Turn it to 0.0 INSTANT improvement.

Actually, that doesn't solve responsiveness at all. It only disables skill queuing. Some people hate skill queueing and it CAN make the combat seem more 'sticky' but it has nothing to do with responsiveness.

The camera auto-correct is a huge part of this problem in pvp, but other than that I think the controls are decent but they seem slightly sluggish compared to WoW. Auto-facing and over-scripting every ability is a problem. People need free range to rotate and move around quickly and fluidly, so far it's been less than ideal but not horrible. The real problem in PvP is the length of the CCs, it's absurdly long. WoW had so much CC too but this is just worse, but hopefully it evens out at lvl 50 with PvP gear.

When will dev's learn that you need a smooth, nice and fluent combat system. Seems like only Blizzard know.

Which is a shame because the game is actually very cool but I simply can't stand clunky, heavy unresponsive controls/combat, it's a total game killer. The jumping in this game makes me what to throw up.

Feels like your character is walking on rails, insane.
really dude these combat animation are amazing it flows incredibly sith warriors and jedi knights have slow attacks single shots if u play an assassin its all fluent and cool they hit it right ont he head this game is what ive been waiting for.

Just give it up OP. No one here is going to hear what you have to say. I feel like a lot of people here are in complete denial who have nothing constructive to say. I myself enjoy the game very much, but like the OP, I have to agree that the game doesn't feel as responsive as i'd like it to be. It has nothing to do with lag, pc connection, hardware or whatever.

ROFL... did I really just read that. Blizzard knows how to make a game. When wow was release it was horrible. and then it took them time and they work out the bugs. I mean if you are looking to play wow then do so... Post after Post, After Post... Get kind of old. IF you don't like the game or enjoy it. You are free to leave the forums. This game is about community and design. Personally I love the game. I see some flaws but know that bioware will work through them.

And nothing to do with the skill queue window of 0.5 sec either.

I hate it when people bring that up as a solution. No, it solves nothing.

He just said he enjoys the game. Stop getting all butthurt and actually post something worth reading. Game has some problems and people are going to complain about it. Of course it's the first day of the game but that's how it goes. When there's something a person doesn't like they will say something about it. Doesn't necessarily mean they hate the game or think WoW is better. Give Bioware time and they'll work it all out for sure but stop getting butthurt.

That's just not factual at all.

BTW, AoC has life like movement, and combat. It was created by capturing the movement of real people, and it is amazing feeling, way more fluid than WoW.

This game actually feels alsmot exacltly the same as WoW, maybe you are lagging???

I have no issues, jumping, turning in the air, circle strafing etc. I can do it all fast and fluid in this game.
