I've played wow since release and I'll probably play the panda version. So no die hard fanboy here. Think what you are seeing is related to your hardware via bug or low system specs.

*** are you on about? It has nothing to do with FPS or lag, I'm running a GTX480 in SLI @ over 90 FPS average.

I'm talking about CONTROLS and movement physics, not lag.

When you learn to stop clicking your skills, you might actually find that the camera is no problem at all. Because then you can use your mouse to move the camera instead.

I have noticed that in heavy combat that your controls can become extremely sluggish usually resulting in death. It can, at times, be a little frustrating.

No one wants a ****** unresponsive combat system.

Anyway this was the last mmo i buy unless it comes form blizzard (exception for gw2), i wasted a epic large amount of cash on failed mmo's. Aoc, rift, dc online, warhammer etc, to much money literally down the drain.
bye bye!!!

Do what I did. Don't play PvP until they fix it.

And OP is right. No game so far has reached the responsiveness of WoW.

Simple examples:

A. In WoW, I can stop moving and at the EXACT same time start channeling a spell.
In SW:TOR, I have to wait half a sec or so until the server *registers* that I don't move anymore so I can cast my channeling spell.

B. In WoW, I can cast an instant spell at any time and it fires.
In SW:TOR I need to wait ~0.5 sec until I can move after casting a spell, otherwise it gets cancelled, the GCD is wasted and the spell is not activated.

It's simply worse server/client coding. It has nothing to do with lag, FPS, the ability queue or anything else. This is a fact and anybody that disagrees either hasn't played WoW or is simply a fanboy and would never think reasonably anyways.

Yes? Unless you're force push'ing yourself forward, or the developers crammed some portal guns in there (which would be awesome), physics are physics. Nevermind the whole light saber/space explosions/mysterious space travel engines that are all impossible by the current laws of physics

Edit: Now I want lightsabers in portal 2...

More wet nurse tripe like all the others. Those other MMORPG's by the way are still reporting profits. They are in fact, not dead. These kinds of posts are why WOW players are regarded as imbeciles. The few fools kill the reputation of the silent majority.

When will dev's learn that you need a smooth, nice and fluent combat system. Seems like only Blizzard know.

Which is a shame because the game is actually very cool but I simply can't stand clunky, heavy unresponsive controls/combat, it's a total game killer. The jumping in this game makes me what to throw up.

Feels like your character is walking on rails, insane.
I played wow since release..

I've played 6 different classes to 85..

I am having ZERO issues with the combat systems in SWTOR.

Please elaborate on what is not "smooth" and "nice".. You only offered those extremely vague descriptions which do not describe anything.

Zero issues crowd here, played that other MMO for years so I have a good comparison too.
