Right now using the existing tools you get rank 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27 items as valid results and no way to filter them further on the GTN.
GTN usage frequency is immaterial, understanding its usage is not.

What is the point of this thread? You have made a few.

First - your title. There is no proof in this thread BW hates crafters or gtn users. They made a change for technical improvements which will trump any QQ in this thread.

Second - you're complaining about the recent search field change. It's working as intended - just with more results now. With more results comes more effort to find what you're after. That means using provided search fields to help narrow your choices or skipping to the page where your items are located.

Third - you're complaining about the amount of results and/or the lack of sorting available. Ascending/descending sorting has been available since launch IF you click on the Name header in the results field. If Modification 27's are not being sorted from Modification 26's, then there's a bug with the sorting system - an entirely different topic altogether although I have not seen this happen since the change.

I even went so far as to provide my suggestions on how BW could improve the GTN, but somehow you failed to address those. I guess soliciting emotionally charged responses to support your disapproval of the change is more your speed.

Later, I'm off to earn some non-virtual currency.
Went outside yesterday, graphics were awesome but gameplay sucked.
RIP OPOD . 12/1/11

First of all you're an ***. Second to all the people who are happy that bioware responded with more crap, lol at you. It is quite obvious that the people in charge of the game are stupid and have no intentions of improving this game in any realistic way.

Been able to search for the exact item name is not a nice-to-have-feature, is even above a simple requirement... it is common sense. No one forced BW to set item names containing numeric characters with less than 3 digits.

Adding a number validation to the string length validation is exactly one line of code into that conditional statement.

You know what's sad? The fact that all they have to do is add a - in between the letters and numbers they use and the problem is solved.

If someone wants an enhancement they can type Astute -27 and the GTN would return what they want. Or if someone isn't sure which one they want they can just type in -27 and all the 27's will pop. Or they could change the designations to all have a or b or c or whatever afterwards so that people could look for astute 27a. Even if they never plan on having a 27b, they can put 27a in there and it works with their existing search structure.

Same goes for starship equipment. Grade-4 is easy to search for, Grade 4 is impossible. And while level req might work for crafted items, I believe schematics are all considered Level 1 which makes zeroing in on the appropriate schematic for Starship parts impossible. Instead you have to put in something like "missile" and sort by name then flip through pages of grade 2's to get to the 4's.

I had hoped today's downtime would have reversed their "fix" but it looks like that isn't in the cards.
"50 Grades of Shae", a heart-warming novel about a Mandalorian that delivers beat-downs and assigns grades to her victims.

Believe me when I say that adding a numeric validation is by far easier... to a competent developer, it should not take more than 10 minutes to do that (assuming they don't already have built-in routines and they have to write a new one). And then everyone is happy...

It was hard to get used to insert name of each item by yourself in GTNs search... (is already a great discomfort compared to other games!) list items for sale, check prices and search all of needed items took a long time, but now it is a nightmare! i have to check lvls, select range of it each time! then retype name... again check and select range of lvls, and next...

GTN is a non-functional atm, use of it is now even more tiresome and annoying, you can`t leave it like that

This is very important to have pleasure of playing this game, not the opposite way!
That`s wrong and you should fix it fast

No we don't have to. BW admitted it was an error and said they would fix it.
Did you read BW's response on the matter?
It's not impossible. It's just improbable.

I don't understand how after 3 days and practically a patch planned each day, they haven't at the very least reverted it back to the way it was until they can come up with a better solution. This is so dumb!

Just change it back, problem solved!

I totally agree, if they did the coding right, they only need to change one character.

Just want to review some key points.

Let me stop you right there, GTN may have hitched at times, but it was never unusable for me (unless I posted items too fast, which is a completely different bug that also needs be fixed), and at least I could always find what I was looking for accurately, efficiently, and just all around easier than it is now, without having to use the clutter of option menu's in GTN. Ok continue...

Ok cool! You admitted it was a bad change... so the next part should be where you say your going to fix it or change it back right?

Ok so apparently your going to revolutionize GTN, not sure why your being all secretive about it, just tell us what the plan is... So will you be reverting it back for the maintenance at least until you find a new fix? (obviously now I know the answer to that)

NO! The little peak behind the curtain??? I really don't care about a stupid little teaser that told me absolutely nothing!!! I care about the problem being resolved! If you truly care about this "inconvenience, annoyance, frustration, and our in-game experience" then you will do something about it now other than talking about doing a future update! Ok so this is from 3 days ago, lets see what was accomplished in 3 days.

Maintenance: February 14th, 2013 - At the time allegedly a bug was fixed that gave people access to a legacy unlock for free (oh thank god, they gotta have them extra cartel coints being spent!), but they actually just made it to where people could pay infinitely for the same thing over and over only to have it locked up everytime you log on... no mention of GTN revert, but wait they got another maintenance for tomorrow!

Maintenance: February 15th, 2013 - Canceled (****!)

Maintenance: February 16th, 2013 - Reverted and removed their legacy unlock perk that was bugged... but they didn't revert GTN!??!?!?!?!!?

Seriously you have got to be kidding me. how are you going to *********** revert the other problem, but not this one. Doesn't make any sense to me. You confirmed it as a problem! JUST CHANGE IT BACK!
