You need to stop blaming the PvP'ers who are PvP'ing in a PvP zone and start blaming BW or yourself. I understand your frustration, but you're taking it out on the wrong group.
I blame BW and gankers equally. Plenty of people organize themselves to complete the quests without unnecessary conflict, but a few bad people can ruin it. You really aren't in the majority here. The only reason this issue seems multifaceted is because the vast majority of players who do this without incidence don't get noticed. It's, as I explained earlier, the extremely loud and violent minority that thinks it can dictate how the majority plays. I think BW was incredibly stupid for putting these PvE quests in a PvP area, but, ultimately, they aren't the ones pulling the trigger, so some of the blame has to lie with the ganking players.

It seems a lot of the the PvP focused players, and BioWare, still aren't listening. I don't pick up the PvP missions, I don't go into the PvP zones (like the Contested Zone, or the Smugglers Den other than to finish that HK idiocy). I do not flag myself for PvP. And, by the way, the whole of the western shelf is NOT PVP, or I and everyone else would be flagged immediately upon entering.) That has almost no effect on whether I get griefed and/or ganked.

Some player rolling through my AoE can flag me. A flagged player walking through my healing AOE can flag me. Sometimes, a heal from a flagged player will flag me. And, no, I won't stop using my AoE. It's integral to my PVE gameplay, in the PVE zone I stay in, against the PVE mobs I'm required to kill to achieve my PVE objective. In the same way I don't say "hey don't attack me when I go into your PvP zone" or "hey, stop using expertise". It's a ridiculous premise on it's face.

But getting flagged and griefed isn't the end. Oh no, the bad design and idiotic mechanics pile up. Once the fight ends, as it did last night, I get hit with Trauma, and a 30% healing reduction. Stupid, and pointless, and totally unnecessary, but there you go. And, now that I'm flagged, and don't want to be, I can't just turn the flag off. No, that would make sense. I have to go to a safe zone, click the flag (which, in opposition to any kind of logic ENABLES the flag), and then click it AGAIN to turn the flagging off (apparently because the lead designers are designing to their core incompetencies), and then wait for the timer I can't see to expire. So, not only am I being griefed by force flagging PvP'ers who get NOTHING of value from the kill (assuming they can mange it), i am being punished by the idiot designers because I have to fly to a safe zone, drop the flagging, and then fly back to complete my daily.

But the less....mature of the PvP community want to talk about "carebears". Here's a question: why are you so determined to test your "mad pvp skillz" against a PVE equipped player just trying to do a daily? Why not take those skills to a PvP dedicated server, and test them against another dedicated PvP player?

I like your post. I love PvP and spend my time with my guild doing PvP given the stats of expertise I have against a PvE player I have 23% boost to damage and 19% to damage reduction what fun could I really have fighting a person geared for PvE? That is why for me and most of my guild hell most of the players I know they have all decided not to go. What kind of fun is a fight when you know who is going to win? And when you have all the advantages winning in these battles proves nothing especially it does not prove you are some uber skilled PvPer.

The nerd rage is strong with this one.

If you are getting flagged while AOEing, that is a bug. I have my doubts on that, but by all means, submit a bug report with *proof*.

Otherwise, the two PvP-labeled quests are there to encourage PvP. Do it at your own risk.

I'm sure that made sense, to you, when you started. Logic not being your strong suit, let's try this:

So what if it's a bug? If I'm in a 16 man WB group, with my PvP flag NOT set, and I come out of that group with it set, the fact that it's a bug is irrelevant. What is relevant is that players like you roll out of the contested areas, and use it as an excuse to grief and gank players like me. But you don't get comms, or valor, or advance a daily for having done so. The ONLY reason is to grief. And you still haven't answered the question. Why not take those uber PvP skills to a PvP server?

PS. It's a rhetorical question. I'm pretty sure I know why.

It may be a bug but it has been around forever. I've been flagged more than a few times by pvpers walking into orbital strike or other aoes to get me flagged and then all four hit me at once. Also had a WB encounter ruined by a group coming in and flagging my op and the forcing us to fight them AND the WB at the same time.

The only problem I see that needs to be fixed is where we have pvprs intentionally coming into an area (not a pvp area) and waiting until someone uses their AOE and then flags them. That is wrong and shouldn't be happening and any pvpr that does that is not a pvp player but a coward trying to flag someone that is not in a pvp area.

That should be fixed so it doesn't happen.

If you go to a pvp area than of course you will be flagged. I don't like pvp so I stay away from those area.

But intentionally going to an area they know is not pvp and waiting for someone to use an AOE just to flag them is childish and should be fixed.

That bug has been around since the beginning and has been reported. Back in the beginning BW said they were working on trying to figure out how to fix that. Yet they haven't yet.

What really annoys me is those (same faction?) flagged and stealthed pvpers that stands around objectives in PVE-area. When I use AOE or areaheal I get flagged and their friends/guildies that stands around the corner come up and gank me. I usually dont even notice that I get flagged since im trying to get those droids... As a pve geared sorc I usually do nothing at all since im dead within 3 seconds anyway. So I die. In 3 secs. I get the pvp-flag to get rid of (takes 5 mins or more), have to go back to the objective to start again and then it happens again. The PVPers got NO reward whatsoever. They do it for "fun" i guess. I try to stay away from that kind of "fun". I dont understand whats so fun about doing that but it must be since it happend at least three times last night. Go to a pvp server and grief those who enjoy pvp-ing. Please.
