Hi there,

I'm experiencing issues with game freezes at random intervals when playing the game. It could be every 3 hours, it could be the next time I login, the game simply freezes. The cursor is still able to move although the entire picture freezes, and I can still hear the sound effects and ambiance when it does this. I can play the game for hours with no issue, then it just freezes and I have to shut down via task manager and reboot it entirely. All windows updates are installed, and its a brand new computer, specs are as follows:

I know this is redundant on the forums, but check your video drives to ensure they're up to date Just in case.

Did you custom build the rig? There's a possibility a piece of hardware may be causing this. Perhaps a faulty stick of RAM?

This is jumping to extreme of course, but we're talking a full game crash.

I didn't build it, it was a custom built PC. It came from a reputable company mind you, would it be difficult to fix?

Well. We should absolutely rule out everything else first before going to parts replacement haha.

Try giving the game a repair through the launcher. Maybe something in the recent patch is giving you trouble.

If that doesn't work, try a reinstall maybe.

This is my issue too.

I have a brand new laptop (Sony Vaio) and so I'm very doubtful it's anything hardware related.

I will also try and run a repair, but I've done multiple re-installs of different methods and it hasn't work. I have used the discs to install, which may be part of the problem? Since I live in New Zealand, there is no way for me to download the full game from the internet.

Edit: After looking at a few more forums, I'm starting to think this might be Windows 8 related, so running in compatibility mode is my next step.
