Awesome way to ruin an event

I do enjoy pvp and I used to have a lot of fun when we had the big (laggy) faction battles on Ilum at launch.

But today I got exploit flagged during one of the PVE quests and ganked by my own faction.
A bunch of them were following me around, trying to get me flagged and eventually succeeded, not even sure how.
This happened on a PVE server.

It's stupid, and I doubt that anyone was really asking for that kind of open world PVP.

Not a good event, sorry Bioware.

I wouldn't mind the everyone vs everyone feature so much if they would allow us to form up operations groups for it. Its pretty lame showing up and seeing 10 4 man groups aoeing eachother to death before they realize half the groups are in their guild

I assume the ban on ops groups is there to stop zerg groups forming. Those are only really fun for the people in them.

There are two main isssues I have with open world PvP

1) Expertise means that PvE players can not just jump into PvP and have some fun. You jump in get slaughtered and no matter what you do the guys hitting you are doing 30% more damage, heal 30% more and take 30% less damage you just dont stand a chance unless you fight a monkey who can't play.
2) Its very easy to force other players into PvP just wait till they use any AOE attack and be caught in the blast range, Forcing someone already ingaged in PvE to then be able t be attacked. Its really not cool.

PvP on TOR could be great but currently its too stats driven with only one way to get expertise and thats to play a lot of warzones or use useless PvP recruit gear.

guild members can't attack one another even if you aren't in the same group...my guild had like 3 groups there today and everyone shows up green. You can't heal them though, if you target a guildy out of your group you end up healing yourself.

Faction pvp is fine..at least you have a common enemy..same faction ffa is not, you can bet people are writing names down, making this game go further down the non-playable form.People holding grudges and all. And then the WB griefing going on...welp what ever.

If it made you create a thread this patch succeeded to make a stroke. Being ganked by same faction guys who are better then you , sory but not everyone can be best.

You might want to look up these numbers again.

But yeah, pvp in pve equip is not recommended. Same is also true the other way around, though. I see, however, relatively few pvp`s complainig that they cant properly raid in their pvp gear.

If we wanted free for all we'd go Outlaw's Den.

Current solution is to go out with your guild and just watch the AoE.
