Ive said this before and ill say it again for those of you who think its that easy lol. No all a person that likes to grief has to do is aoe the companion of someone not flagged for pvp, and bingo they are flagged and they can kill them as they please. So its not as easy as you make it out to be

This event SUCKS. I hate it.
I got killed 3x by PvP'ers. I hate this frugging business of getting flagged w/o doing anything at all.
Who's brilliant idea was it to put this in a PvP area?
Whose brilliant idea was it to mix PvP and PvE?
Some of us (myself in particular) do not PvP at all.
I'm passing on this event in its entirety.

My understanding was that using an AOE to flag only worked if you did so when someone was flagged in the area and YOU hit them or their companion, not the other way around.

As for the event. I did 3 republic side pve quests and while there, only a cpl guilds were being jerks. Most were in a 'truce' state with the occasional, " /say hey imps, wanna pvp real quick for fun? "sure lets at it" 'alright' and then a quick lol scuffle happened, and then right back to killing the pve objectives.

I was in several AOE cones of flagged players and never got flagged so... *shrugs* My advice is, don't AOE if you are PVE and there are PVP players around. Problem solved.

They are all flagged yellow and just wait til the fighting starts, they run into the group of bots and bam the players get flagged, then the whole group of them just gank the players trying to do the PVE portion of the quest. They did this over and over to anyone who showed up.

Too bad there are a few bad Guilds that go out of their way to cheat and grief other player thinking it's fun.

Oh the server Harbinger
This stuff happens, but so does the opposite.

I was flagged for pvp by a group of about 6 yellow reps and ws spoke in /say a bit and took turns finishing the quests in the area, even helped each other with non-AOE attacks. My companion forgot the alliance a coupel times though, but he got the passive button and a /slap.

So there are like 8 illums right now and yes you get attacked and griefed but alot of people are cool and just let each other complete quests.

Cant focus on the few, the community is not too bad overall.

You are wrong. I've run Illum with 3 different toons. I engaged the same mobs as the opposite faction including AOE on both sides and wasn't flagged. The only time I was flagged was when I went into the PvP area to run PvP quests.

Whatever issues there were seem to be addressed for at least Illum.

I was taking on the guardian bot and the other faction joined in, once it was killed I went to loot and instantly got flagged for PVP. Right after got ganked...

For goodness sakes, will you crybabies give it a rest? The Gree is just one of four factions you can build reputation with. The Gree Gear from the vendor that you guys have been crying about for weeks is orange gear with no stats. So there is no advantage to be had from getting it. It's purely cosmetic. So all that whining and crying that you guys have done for the past few weeks over gear was for nothing. If you don't want to deal with PVP and the thought of dying to another player makes you wet yourself then go build your reputation with your own factions or with the Voss and you won't have to deal with other players killing you.
