Shouldn't have made such a hasty and rushed thread, then.

Could've gave yourself a bit more time after work to get a feel for the patch before you made a "Not happy" thread.

I didn't have time to fully test it myself (played for about 30 minutes before work), but I don't believe you get comms just for killing people. That would likely lead to the same problem Ilum had to start with, people kill trading.

HAHAHAHAhahahaha deep breath HAHAHAHAHhahahaha. Ah evil PvP ganker upset they can't farm valor during PvE event eh. I mean seriously....did you REALLY think Bioware would re-establish the PvP exploiting on Ilum from launch? I could see it already. Bioware announces new event on Ilum. PvPer's translate this to mean the new event will be Open World PvP WOOT!!! Glorious memories of the days of forming a zerg and then play Red Rover Red Rover sending one person at a time to the other side to be ganked I mean farmed for valor. Oh the valor levels gained and coms earned. Tis was perfection on an exploitative scale that is sorely missed among the "elite" PvPers.

But still as someone pointed out there are normal Event quests and then there are PvP event quests. Greater event rewards for those willing to go to the PvP sections (even if they are free for all sections) for the added risk but no real farming method or reward for the PvPer's that only want to be disruptive and interfere with other peoples game play. Sorry can't help but laugh at the hopeful PvPers that were drooling over the assumption they would be able to gank freely and be rewarded for it during this event. Did you really think Bioware would be stupid enough to truly embrace open world PvP and "force" players that want to participate in the event to be sheep for all the wolves just waiting to turn the snowscape frozen red with blood and tears and reward the PvPer's for it?

Nice swap there Bioware....feed the trolls...I mean the PvPer's with expectations of a feeding frenzy only to yank away their "reward". Free for all PvP limited to single group sizes....pure genius not only does it prevent zergs from running wild but presents targeting issues and friendly fire risks that could turn even your own faction into enemies running you down for trying to gank...I mean PvP while others try to participate in the event.

Because faction vs. faction never worked on Ilum with many more people playing Empire side? If you don't like it, you're not forced to go into that area of the map.

I never made the claim I want to gank people doing a pve quest, I can already do that but dont because its a waste.

I'm looking for an Alternative to WZ grinding. Like it or not we had that with Ilum before it was taken way. Now all we have is WZ. And what is a person to expect when they tell us their answer to revamping Ilum was this....and it doesnt provide an adequate replacement for WZ. Now I get 200 wz from 2 dailies, then back to WZ again. I'm not going to enjoy ganking people for no reason.

Maybe I had too high of expectation that a serious inadequacy would be solved in this patch. It wasnt and I'm disappointed because of it. And as a paying customer I have the privilege of being able to voice my disappointment to Bioware.

Geez! Now that's really gotta hurt, seeing as BioWare made this patch SPECIFICALLY to both amuse and impress OP. Guess it's time to close up shop....

I'm not impressed either to be honest. This constant adding of dailies each patch and no real progression content wise as far as Flashpoints is really disappointing. They are putting content in that seems useless at this point and not focusing on what keeps people really playing and that is not new dailies every patch.

I agree. Some patches focus on PvE, some on PvP. My expectation was a fix to a year long wait for OPvP.

What exactly was their target audience on this event? PvP? PvE? Not sure to be honest because as a PvP'r I'm disappointed but I also dont see that much for PvE'rs except a new armor model? and some new dailies to do?

I could see them adding reputation to the current dailies, it wouldn't have been terribly hard I would not think as they just released Section X just a bit ago. However, Lost Island has been the last FP released and they seem more focused on giving us dailies than new content, this is disgusting in my eyes and I will be pursuing other ventures this fall when they release.

I only stick around for the people I play with and they are moving games because of the lack of content and the increased focus on dailies.

Basically anyone who doesnt share your opinion needs to keep their mouth shut then right? You can disagree without mocking people. If your so happy with the event tell us why your right and I'm wrong. We can debate this like the civilized people we are.
