Thankfully, no spiders

Maybe if we had spiders, they could eat the bugs!

I wondered about that myself. The kretch were kind of a big deal in the Children of the Jedi book, and that's where the world of Belsavis was first mentioned/visited/described.

I've been wondering if this would become some kind of event or patch in the future. We know that by the time of the original trilogy Belsavis' cave structure had been thuroughly ifested with Kretch. We also see in TOR that the Rakata built a ficility to contain dangerous things (Powerful Rakata, dangerous alien species...). What if the Rakata also had kretch in one of the vaults. Some future event or patch could deal with the Kretch getting out. I think it would be interesting to see insect swarm mechanics in the game.

It doesn't matter what medium one encounters their particular phobia. It exists nonetheless. The fact that the OP is creeped out by spiders applies to RL, games, movies etc.

People's phobias are people's phobias. It's not something easily controlled. I've had my hands sweat just from watching movies of heights. I've had friends who run at the sight of a cartoon version of whatever creature they're afraid of. I know people who can't stand the sounds of certain words.

Regardless of why someone is afraid, you shouldn't be so quick to judge.

I remember my first encounter with a Drachnid in EQ. I always avoided Dreadlands and Firiona Vie tunnel as much as i could after that.

Lol if you actually had a phobia you wouldn't be able to play a game with spiders. Just because you get chills by playing a game with spiders does not mean you have arachnophobia.

You might have a fear of spiders but not a phobia.

It took me years to get over my arachnophobia. That would bring it right back.

The Sand Demons in SWTOR have a spider vibe to them... so better don't play Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior to avoid those.
