There is no reason to create quests that are in a forced pvp area on a pve server. If there are those on a pve server who want that then roll on a pvp server. Personally there shouldn't be ANY forced pvp areas other then structured warzones. Even if Ilum is brought back it should be structured and queue-able but at least there are warnings to prevent wandering in unknowingly.
Whilst I have sympathy with this view. how soon would PVE people start complaining if an event wasn't released on a PVE server? Before you say it can be without the PVP why should PvP people not have their own mounts/armour etc to work towards when PVE people have exclusive mount/armour rewards for doing Ops.

I am all for events on pvp servers to be exclusive to them. There should be clear and definitive differences between pvp and pve. This way it will encourage all the pvprs to go there and leave the pvers alone...

I feel the dev team is cutting costs by not developing on separate lines for pvp and pve...

Anger leads to hate

I believe the problem is that even on a PVE server, you get autoflagged for PVP if you go into a PVP-designated area, whether you want to or not. That's the gripe people are giving that others seem to have a problem understanding. They rolled on a PVE server for a reason, and it's not to get forced into PVP. If some people want all-out PVP, they should roll on PVP servers. The same should apply to those who don't want PVP at all. Isn't that what the PVE servers are for?

Then what these people need to understand is that they are NOT forced into PvP. By NOT going to an auto-flagging PvP area they will not be flagged and thus cannot be attacked by other players.

The different between PvP and PvE servers is that there is no "Open world PvP".
There is nothing anywhere that says a PvE server won't have some PvP areas and likewise there is nothing saying that on a PvP server you won't have to do some PvE.
The PvP and PvE words are being used a little too openly. By rights a PvP server should allow open world PvP anywhere and everywhere. A PvE server shouldn't have warzones for example.
There will always be cross-over and at NO point is anyone forced to do anything they don't want to do. It has been said a thousand and one times already - if you don't want to PvP don't enter an area that will flag you for such. If you do enter one your 10 second count down begins - easy enough time to exit the way you came in.

I always carry my PvP armour with me in my inventory (cannot remember the last time I ran out of inventory space). With a series of right-clicks (although being forced to drag in implants and relics because a right-click causes the same one to be replaced) I can change from PvE to PvP armour I'd say in around 10-15 seconds.

Again, this assumes that there is nowhere else for the devs to put PVE missions. It further assumes that luring unsuspecting and unwilling PVEers into PVP is not "aimed at" us. Of course it is. What is so wrong with the PVP in this game that PVEers have to be lured into PVP zones? And if it's not "aimed at" us, then why would we "have" to PVP? Circular and strange is your reasoning.

The PVE missions aren't in PVP zones by accident, and the point that I and other PVEers are making is that it's undesirable for PVEers to HAVE to enter PVP zones simply to complete an instanced mission (I'm not talking about bonus hunts or badging, just a plain old-fashioned instanced mish). The one I got on Tat was from Corso; sure, I could have ignored/dropped it, but my toon wanted to make out with him some more :P If it was just some random side, I definitely would have dropped it after seeing it was in a PVP zone.

As a related aside: I have zero problem with the existence of PVP zones, but they should be PVP zones. Period.

What seems 'circular and strange reasoning' is that you say in one breath

and you also say

In other words I believe you mean that you have a right to play all aspects of this game in the way you want to and not how the devs have developed it.

Instead of thinking 'hey maybe the Devs didn't build this content for me because in involves PVP you insist 'I want to do it my way.'

Your whole arguement seems to be on a narrow band that a quest that is not 'kill someone from the other faction' is not a PvP quest, narrow thinking at it's best methinks.
