Unsub then; because you are not going to get that until makeb. And if you think TESO is going to be the next great thing, then I hope you like disappointment.

Given this is mostly a rep patch I think it makes sence to put straight to live. Who will really grind out on test just to have to do the same grind on live. Plus as there is a weekly cap are they really going to leave a patch on PTS for months waiting to see if any bugs occur during the process of people leveling up.

I think putting this update on PTS would be a waste.

As for all the bugs we already have plenty of them a few more will be like a drop in the ocean.

Yep. The PTS QQ is overblown. Last time I logged on the PTS to goof around before an update there was a whopping two other players on Imp Fleet. And BW never listens to the recommendations and bug reports from the testers anyway, at least in any sort of immediate way.

Personally, I think BW planned to put it on the PTS, but things didn't go right with the character copy so they pulled the plug and just tested internally. Oh well. Tuesday should be interesting, one way or the other. Glad to see BW is sticking to their update timeline word.

And maybe you're right. Maybe PTS isn't as fruitful as it could be...but it has certainly prevented more than a few bugs from going live in the past. What's the cut-off to you? 2 bugs? 20? 100? I'm thrilled if they find and report 1 that gets fixed before I encounter it.

Secrecy has a price...
I agree with you that secrecy has a price. What I generally see, obviously just an opinion, is that this community bends itself completely out of shape for things that aren't bugs, but instead attack for things in the game that they simply don't like. It wouldn't shock me that these same people report something as a bug when it's simply not something they like which isn't testing in my opinion. There are obviously those who do report actual bugs, and I respect them. I just don't have the faith that most of the people are objective even if spotting a bug shouldn't be a very hard thing to do . I report bugs when I encounter them in game, and I'm not on a test server.

I'm also glad you don't work for Bioware either. I like the fact that Bioware has hired, or seemingly has hired, part time testers. They are not the development team either. I think they will do a far better job at testing than anyone on the PTS could ever do.

Yesterday was threads on the updates taking to long and now we have threads on them not allowing more testing before new content goes live. I am constantly boggles by the forums but it is good for people watching and to kill time.

Will be nice to have something new to do...can't wait to see what bugs come with it though . I think either way there will be bugs, but some of the most annoying ones that I've seen would have been caught with a few day test server run. Either way, looking forward to see what they came up with.

Too be honest I am not worried about it because the main thing in this patch is teh event and as far as I remember, the last 2 events didn't have that many bugs to it and they weren't tested by the public. I wouldn't worry

The last event Grand Acquisitions Race has a major bug that let you basically skip the entire event by doing a space mission as well as very buggy respawn timers and quest items. I wasn't even patched at all or maybe like a week into the event.

I know that bioware has dedicated internal testers but nothing compares to the actual gameplay on the PTS by the public. It just makes no sense why they even have a PTS if they never utilize except for very limited times. Although they said that character copy will be up before ROTHC so I hope we can test that out atleast. Would be awful to launch the expansion without a beta test.

honestly, the PTS has never been used for anything. the notes that go onto PTS have almost always been exactly the same as when it goes to live.

perhaps bioware actually listened to the feedback from some of us that said PTS was just a waste of time if they were going to load it to live regardless of the feedback.
