dose anyone really think that 1.7 will release without bugs regardless of how long they take? on a side note, the ''new'' bioware/ea are arrogant and incompetent as well as their marketing and PR department don't care what you think or know about the game. they don't care what anyone says about them or the game because they are the type of people who think they no best and what they say is in fact the way it should be and the rest of us are wrong.

I sometimes suspect that BW tries to do the very smallest amount the player base will accept without quiting. By this I mean they have an update ready to go after 7 weeks (having promised updates every 6 weeks) they however have said that because of the Christmas holiday (a 1 week holiday which one must assume explains why an update looks to be 4+ weeks over due) they decide to hold off releasing the update for at least a month knowing people will accept this so they can have longer to work on update 1.8/ more time off. Customer care is all about doing the very least the customer will accept.

My suspicion is and has been for days that they are having problems getting PTS character copy to work correctly. This above make me feel more certain of this.

What is the benefit to them coming out saying they're running behind? If it doesn't hit after 9 weeks have passed, then they are obviously behind. If they come out and state that they are a week behind or whatever, they will take more heat if it slips again. They are being smart by not committing to a date at this time.

And, yes, I am content. I am enjoying the game and will enjoy the new content when it gets here. I have no control over the release, so I'm good with what there is. When that changes, I will walk away.

No , that character copy is for Makeb not 1.7. Anyways I think that because 1.7 has an event attached to it , then it won't be on the PTS . It would give those players an unfair advantage.

i dont remember BW ever saying a def time. the only things i have read are...

1. their goal is 6-8 weeks for content patches.

2. because of holidays, 1.7 would/could be pushed back longer that their 6-8 week goal. i dont remember ever reading BW sayins 9 weeks.

3. 1.7 event will be sometime in feb. we are just 7 days into feb.
can't wait for this game to come out!

And as to the question of whether I'd want them to release a buggy version or wait, the response is that while obviously I would prefer a clean version, what I would most want in that situation is to be told earlier rather than later. If they're delayed, let us know. Yes, there will be fussing, but if they wait till the last minute that fussing will get a lot lot worse.
Minus 2 weeks for the holiday, so next week would be 7. So probably the week after that and they will still hit their 6-8 week window.
