I have not yet played a class that can vanish. I just wanted to know does it remove any damage over time effects on them? I used to play EQ and a dot would bring them back out of stealth, how does it work in swtor.

The same, a dot brings them back out of stealth. Stealth classes have ways to remove dots before stealthing though: Resilience/Force Shroud does that on Shadows/Assassins; Scoundrels/Operatives have Dodge/Evasion and cleansing.

Scoundrels/Ops have evasion which drops all debuffs

Sins/Shadow have force shroud but doesn't drop dots that are already on i think, some one will correct me if I'm wrong

The stealth itself does not effects debuffs or dmg at all. Just puts you in stealth and out of combat if possible

It removes all tech/force effects on the target as well.
