My pc ran the game pretty well on beta weekend. Now the frame rate issue is garbaage. The only thing different I have done one thing different, I installed the game with the cd's I bought. There is also a issue with the launcher downloading the patch. So when you load the game up, it crashes to the desktop on the loading screen. Found a fix that thanks to someone else on the forums.

But the lag I am getting is just horrible and the game is unplayable. Maybe its a codding issue with certain hardware. Hopefully the will find out what is causing it. Because I love the game.
The tone of the OP suggests that there is some kind of client crash Armageddon going on when there is actually no such thing.

What is really happening is that an undetermined segment of the installed user base is having an issue with the client. Judging by the number of people stating they having no issue at all, I'd say it's a minority having issues.

when people like myself see a comment that claims to speak for us, and our old junker machines run the game fine (my 2 year old laptop runs the game without flinching) we feel the need to state as much. In doing so we hope to prevent the hysteria that usually grips MMO forums at launch.

I left the game knowing I would have a 45 minute queue to get back in. That's ok and not why I came here. OP I came to make the exact same post. This is the one true threat to this game, at least in my book. 60-1 fps at any given time anywhere.

Bioware, just communitcate.

There are some client stability problems, but BSOD is virtually never the fault of software.

Thankyou im just ignoring all the troll posts from players who don't understand how big an issue this is and how many players are having problems with it, its enough to cause concern and gets some communication from bioware.

I know for a fact its not a user issue and is a swtor client issue and so do the players with these problems.

You know for sure? Funny since I am pretty certain we're all using the same client. But the vast majority have no issues you're describing. User issue...post specs for real help or you're just whining.

The only issue I've encountered is what appears to be some kind of memory leak when using the map on the player ship to select a new destination. When it goes into hyperspace mode, there is a leak or some kind of graphic issue (driver, etc.) that causes the frame rate to drop significantly. Going into graphics options and either enabling/disabling bloom or any other setting that causes what appears to be some kind of refresh/reload solves it. If you don't it goes south from there to the point of rendering issues, etc. Could be SLi issue, but curious, anyone else seen this?

Btw, can you submit bugs somewhere out of game?

There are 12 players in my guild with this problem + me, its only just came today (21/12) so the problem must be on the server side. They must have changes something...

Most have been reporting the issues since the patch that was between Open Weekend Beta and EGA. That patch changed something thats causing all these problems for "some" players.

Ignore the buy a new computer and whining trolls they don't know what there talking about...

These issue are real and need to be addressed.

For me the client crashes on launch, though it worked perfectly this morning.

EDIT: and of course, as soon as I post, it starts working again.
Edit2: And then once I edit that it dies again. BLEH!
