Hey all, I just got my brand new computer in the mail today. Set it up everything was good. But I noticed it was incredibley slooooow and laggy for a gaming computer. And then noticed the clicking hard drive sound.... I called customer support and they are willing to replace the hard drive free of charge. My question is, should I return the whole computer or just replace the hard drive? Does a bad hard drive cause slow performance? I mean it was really slow....just clicking on IE and waiting for it to pop up took about 45 seconds... Any input would help alot. I bought this computer for SWTOR. I'm sick of playing on a laptop!

You bought it, they sent it, you got it, it didn't work. Send it back.

Gamers don't use hard-drives anymore. We use SSD solid state drives an the proper SATA version in a Mobo to support maximum transfer speed. This isn't required, but speeds up loading times, booting times, an also tranfering large amounts of data. It also saves energy though this is only a bonus aspect of your gamer rig design.
