I enjoy them, I liked the concept since Baldur's Gate, I like the banter they have in the single player games, given that I do wish we had more interaction, I wish there were some instance where we could pull more than one and they might have some of that chatter between them.. I understand can't have all that in an mmo would be to much of a resouce drain on the system.
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

The companion system is one of my favorite parts of the game. I just think it adds a lot in terms of story and being able to customize your combat. I really enjoyed that leveling as a healer was completely viable.

I'm really curious as to what the vision is for the companion system going forward. If we're just going to continue to add companions without getting rid of any, those ships could get really crowded. I'd love to be able to customize the make-up of my crew. I'd also really like to see a mix of universal and class-specific characters going forward, maybe even some of the npcs that you run into early on. That would be a lot of fun. And, as far as story goes, it would make a lot of sense for some of the companions to learn different skills, i.e. tanking or healing. Provide some more flexibility.

Lot of possibilty for expansion with the system in terms of crew dailies, minigames, and so on and so forth. Hope they take those opportunities.
aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?

Well, its complex.
From one side i simply do not trust Bioware with SWTOR that it anytime be made into valuable game.
Also i do not believe that Bioware care anything about even the most valuable feedback. You can list your wish about companions, but it will change nothing. Nobody at Bioware cares.
If you want fun with companions just go play ME2, or any other old bioware game.

As for my feedback:
+ Good companions are, since they help to grind the xp in solo pve. Most of the time companions play good enought, but it maybe due to how brainsless solo pve is.

+ Good companions can craft, in others MMO i encounter crafting was another big time sink. Crafting companions make it a little better.

- Its big shame that once we unlock the companion and its hanging around our ship, we cant just go and talk with it. In ME2 it was great way to learn something about companion past or attitude, and universe lore. In SWTOR our companions are bunch of introverts. Even droids.

- The companion missions are generally dull and boring. Kinda like rest of the game.
Bioware take a long step back from loyality missions in ME2. Even in comparison to JoeBindo from Kotor they are poor.

- Companions could talk a little more in play. LIke comment our decisions and stuff.

- The relation between hero and companion could be made a little more complex.
There could be much more important dialogues and they could be better writen.

Option to twist and alter companion would be nice

For example from Ashara and Sith Inqusitor i would expect some lines like Kreia and Exile. But no chance for that.

To that end, I wish there had been more and better mission rewards for our companions than the (mostly) green junk provided.

Now I've said that, I'm wondering if the issue is with 'green' items generally or even just my perception of them.

The other issue is lack of time. Levelling is so fast, you're at the multi-player stage proper before you know it and sadly the opportunity to get to know some companions as well as others has gone. But it's a MMO, so I don't lament this fact, it is just how it is.
I think i try to use them when i get them, but generally the later ones especially I do not bother with because i have found an early one that works

Oh man, would be sweet to finally be playing the manipulative one, I'm sick of being a tool even when I know I'm being used

I think the problem with companions is that you grow to rely on having them around for groups and the groups and trash that is created is designed with you having a companion on hand. They are like a crux.

One thing that ultimately annoys me with them is when you're steathing to get behind a mob, your companion walks too close or right through the mobs, spoiling your stealth ambush.
I think companions should not have an aggro radius. It just gets in the way of players.

Pro. itīs i nice singleplayer feature. Actually itīs a very nice feature for singleplay.

Negative. This isnīt a singleplayer game. Having you companions craft for you was nice but it removed a big timesink and tbh all mmoīs need tmesinks. I would hate to loose my companions because i solo alot and the little interaction with companions is quite nice, but i cant help to think that maybe SWTOR would have been a better MMO without the companions.

Maybe I'm just confused on definitions, but I don't see how crafting -isn't- a time sink. Sure the companions can do it while you're doing other things... but sometimes I'll play with my only intention being crafting. Rather than being able to walk over to a crafting station and do just that I end up stuck on the fleet, my ship or Dromund Kaas waiting for 20-30 minutes for it to finish. So it's actually a huge time sink if you haven't got anything else you want to do.

I would love to have missions that I can take everyone of my companions on (players and three companions). We would feel like a real crew then. Now they are just my crew skill "rhymes with witches" . They should by no means take the place of a real player but it would be nice to be able to run around with more than one. Just so they feel more like friends, crew, love interest, and COMPANIONS . Again I don't want them to ever replace a real person I would just like to be able to use them better. Right now once you hit 50 there really isn't any need for them other than your main one. Well at least for me anyway .
