And am I the only one to take a screenshot next to a cool looking NPC?
Not to mention that the picture of the black/red armor is clearly named "Event Armor 1".

Well, traditionally zombies were simply mystically reanimated corpses. The virus angle there is relatively recent, and the flesh-eating aspect was more of a ghoul thing.

Looks more like some of the Deep Eyes armor from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within to me.

But I like. But I'm also in with the OP. When do we get our lightcycles?

My "weak assertion" is just the simplest explanation (which, as SCIENCE tells us always has the highest probability of being accurate). I'm not extrapolating crazy theories about future CM additions, game mechanic changes, etc, just calling it like I see it.

I see one screenshot with 3 characters in it: 2 Gree NPCs and one unknown, standing in formation. Chances that a dev put on a future set of gear, lined his toon up with the Gree, and snapped away? Reasonable. Chances that a dev snapped a pic of an already in-game set-piece without any set up time? Much MORE reasonable.
Well if you want to talk science, it is then taken on assumption given availible facts.

Here is a fact, the black and red armor pic's address is: swtor.com/sites/all/files/en/gameupdates/1.7/Gree_Event_Armor_1.png

It is not unrealistic to surmise that the white armor is just a variant of such. Given that this stuff needs to be done well in advance of product shots, it is more reasonable that it is just a variation.

So yes, I still contend that it is a weak assertion.

Honestly, you need to stop splitting hairs when talking about outfits breaking immersion. Either
She dodged attacks on Jabba's barge while she set the cannon to fire on the barge, and on top of that she strangled Jabba. I guess that's not combat. I suppose that it was absolutly empty and she waltzed on to the deck without any trouble. I seem to recall in the novelization, she did have to fight her way on to the deck.

With dozens of post a day proclaiming how this game needs to copy SWG, the bastion of Star Wars Perfection! I find it ironic to see a post that claims SWTOR is becoming too much like SWG.

I also like how anything with highlights is also a copy of TRON.

Facepalm... if you don't understand the difference between "forced outfit" and "costume" I can't help you. You are just arguing semantics.

The point is that it's being argued that the user doesn't like the idea that there's people wearing outfits he feels breaks the immersion of the Star Wars universe. Right... because seeing dozens of Vette's following "Darth [Offensive Name]" or "Darth Steve Jobs" doesn't break immersion, right? Because 8 people taking on a giant robot and the person that's taking damage is wearing a slave outfit that is amazingly modified to work just as well as full armor? Because someone blocking a light saber with a regular old Axe... yeah... none of that breaks immersion from the world of Star Wars... does it?

In the end, it's a silly argument that this outfit clearly breaks immersion when so many things in this game already do. Since this game is licensed to develop story I would say they have more legitimacy in saying what is now considered Star Wars canon then you, wouldn't you say?

I think I am defective because when I first looked at this picture a few days ago I was like "yeah I am so going to get that armor. That is bad***." I would love to look like Rinzler give me a light cycle and a disc thingy too. Seriously I think it looks cool and for me that is the main point so many armors in this game look like well not something I would want on my shoe. This at least looks cool although I would like a different helmet.

With all the new stuff all the time this game feel less and less like starwars at end game and more like just some sci-fi game.

Instead of adding they could have just pulled from established lore. I would take Dathomir or Yavin over Makeb.

Where are the dirty cantinas and the duct taped (piece of junk) starships?
