Look at the brightside, there may not be chat bubbles, but at least you can travel to the gay planet.

Chat bubbles are usually an option in Settings to enable or disable as you see fit. I would love to be able to enable them, they worked fine in beta, and I'd love to see them back.
You do realize that game makes a beep sound whenever you receive a new whisper or when someone types out your name in any of the chats right? I've never missed a whisper, even when I'm alt tabbed because I hear it beep when someone whispers me.

Chat bubbles are annoying and they don't belong in swtor. I'm glad the game doesn't have it.

I personally don't like chat bubbles and always turned them off in WoW, with the exception of when they helped my raid group on out the defiles on Heroic Lich King :P

However, I totally agree that people should have the choice to turn them on. Especially for the RP'ers.

If they add this I'm quiting

Never missed something when people whisper or mention my character name, get this ping sound that's very hard to miss, chat bubbles though for me has always been a mess when more than two people are present, never know which person the conversations is directed towards

I like the sound, would be nice if you could adjust the volume on it though. At least 60% of the time I'm playing I have a show or movie up with the sound of that overpowering the little bitty ding of the alert, but I hear it ever now and then.

As for chat bubbles 'slowing down the system', like people have said just allow it to be toggled off or set to a certain distance. It seems like a lame excuse. That's like saying "we won't impliment shadows into the game because it causes a lot of slow down on old systems"

...well yeah, but still...put it in for those who can handle it.
So you type /no to someone u killed? Wouldnt they have respawned and never have seen it?

Depends how fast I type it and how fast they click respawn I guess. My allies can also hear it I suppose. Think some people are taking that post too seriously

Hated it in SWG. Walk out from starport to a screen filled with chat bots spamming or people telling their 50 paragraph life story to nobody who cared.

Create a tab and read it. No need for bubbles.

Chat bubbles are great for role play but by now you should have accepted tha swtor is not a game for role play its pve and pvp centric

This is not swg where you lived in a Star Wars world this is a Star Wars game where you can pwn and nub with your e friends through flashpoints and war zones

I wanted stuff like this but after a year it seems there are few people that care about random rp

The community wants leader boards and expertise pvp gear

This is the way the mmo is headed got to accept it

If chat bubbles were a priority we would have them by now

There has been a post about chat bubbles in suggestion forum and it seems long but it has been up for a year and its mostly the same people over and over, I know I was one of them lol

I don't suggest people RP in swtor unless you want to hang in he fleet and get requested by weirdos that want to erp bleh
