Summary: PvE stuff inside of PvP areas

Will the area auto flag? we don't dont know.

Is there PVE stuff in there? We don't know.

Like always people jump to conclusions with out a mat.

There's no disconnect. We're talking about mutually beneficial gear, if that's the case - ie not pvp exclusive and not pve exclusive - a whole new and different ranking system. The only disconnect going down there is you not joining the dots on this.

Probably will be open only to level 50 toon, or ok, you can go but you will be probably shot, so check back later!
You can't be attacked by same faction, so you will not be ganked, you have an intere faction to protect you!

And remember, if you don't like to die or do PvP, you still have lot's of things to do!

Who needs a map for that, I just use my mat.

You're not forced. They're offering you a carrot, or incentive, to participate. Don't worry. It sounds like you'll avoid the area...and I encourage that. If at some point you feel like you'd like the PvP rewards, by all means, grab your recruit gear and hit those wz's!!! Gearing up is easier than ever these days!

The issue is making a new ranking system if it's not pve or pvp, yet forcing pve players to both flag (many players on pve servers NEVER want to do this) and also need to equip pvp gear to be able to participate in this new system.

No problems if it's for some pvp gear only, but if it's pve gear/items then there is the problem of forced pvp and forced pvp gear reqs.

So how did the HK quest go for all you guys who cant stand pvp? Because seriously here all the complaining on these forums made me so mad last time because the result on the ground was hugely different then what was said on the forums. Idk if the Harbinger is just filled with gentleman and gentlewoman's but the den was a cakewalk for the majority and the pvp was super avoidable.

ANd theres another thing, some particularly nasty people who think that all pvp'rs want to do is harass people by ganking them. Ganking seems real dumb and not fun at all in my opinion, but I never played Wow so I guess I just dont get it. And yes I think your all totally butthurt over an experience in some other game, furthermore I bet a lot of people are turned off to pvp in general because of other mmo's.

Idk how someone can hate pvp. If I hadent played the story 10 ttimes now I would probably enjoy it and I still enjoy fp's and Op's which I think are awesome because your doing stuff in a big group. Pvp is better then these 2 combined though and shares elements of both, except for everything is dynamic because you are playing real people. How can someone that loves this game and its story, not have fun taking down a sith on your travels through ilum or whatever? A real sith that isnt standing in one place just waiting for you too strike, someone that you know actually does not want to die instead of a computer. Isnt that PVE really but just with a dynamic element too it?

omg so much writing i feel dumb, last thiing I wanna say is that a lot of people have been waiting for a pvp update forever and now that its here all the people who dislike pvp are complaining. What a joke, you have gotten your ops and all that but I have never even been able to experience open world pvp in this game. So back off because we have been waiting.

Ah! But you are already decreeing it a failure when you say "PvE Items". What exactly is a necessary PvE item? "Fluff" can work both ways, as it always has in this game. Exclusive to neither...incentive for both.

I wholeheartedly agree, especially when it's not even a 50s group fighting against a 50, but a 50 fighting a 30.
However, trust me, a lot of people think it's fun. I can't really see how, considering your opponent can't even hurt you, but I guess some people enjoy that. But no it's not just a few people that enjoy ganking.
